the film is so tame compared to the book. the book is fucked up. like, the bit with the rat and the prostitute? haunted me for days. it’s probably one of the best books i’ve ever read.

having said that, the film is still one of my favourites and the obsession i used to have with christian bale after i saw this movie (and batman begins)… man i shoulda made a tumblr for it lmao i’d have got some nasty fics written

I really loved this movie, well most sci-fi really..but I saw this book in the check out line at the store and read it up fast.

One of my favs has to be the time travelers wife. The book was fantastic, heartbreaking..

Side note I watched a clip of the original it miniseries and talked my parents into buying the book. When I was still reading YA books. 😑 that man is talented but there’s a scene that 😦

Going to have to go with a classic. I remember the books coming out but was never really bothered with them until I saw the first film. After that I think I have re-read all of the books every year or listened to Stephen Fry’s brilliant audiobook versions! 

The first universe I could really get lost in.

This was such a great adaptation. The book is definitely different but I like the add ins the show did. Idk if I did this challenge right but this is the first thing that popped up in my head.
