She has the coolest powers and they deserved more time. Her being a death god just proves my point that she's the best character. I really wish it was expanded on and that we got to understand more of what that meant, but hopefully in the future we get at least two sentences.

And the fact that she stole her powers from an ancient deity as revenge, became the most powerful person (I said what I said), and had other ancient god-like beings in awe of her? Iconic.

DAY 3 - Witch

Oh. My. God. This book was my favorite of the challenge by a LANDSLIDE!!

 Gibson’s writing was so poetic, sweet and bitter, but always delicious! Usually, I’m not the best with slow-paced books, but her writing let me savor every minute! 

The world-building was masterfully done. We know only as much as Constanta knows, and she knows only what Dracula will allow. Each betrayal and revelation is a shock to the system and Constanta was an absolute pleasure to learn with! The story itself was a character-focused revel that was romantic and gruesome in equal measure. The evolution of each character was so deeply personal and masterfully connected to the plot that we as readers get to know our protagonists as deeply as they know themselves.
