Back in May, I took a trip to Berk for my birthday. And while I was there, I kept running into a Viking named Legburn. We ended up chatting a lot and basically became besties!
Apparently she's in training to be a dragon rider, but she has already tamed a "super rare dragon that not even Hiccup has seen before". She said her dragon was about the size of a goose, but doesn't want to show it to anyone. I can't remember what exactly she called it, but it was a riff off of "Night Fury". So this is my artistic interpretation of what I think her "dragon" looks like. XD
Anyway Hiccup jokingly said I should do a drawing of Legburn so he can have art of his two favorite girls (I had given him one of my Astrid stickers earlier), so I decided why not!
Legburn genuinely made my whole entire day and she deserves all the art! If anyone knows her, please show this to her and let her know how amazing she is!! ~<3

Today’s my birthday!! It’s hard to believe I’ve been around for 36 years now.
I can’t remember the last time I celebrated my birthday with friends, so I started daydreaming about what would happen if my characters threw a birthday party for me. I think it would be chaotic but lovely, especially with Freefall around. XD

Imagining conversations with my younger self XD
This is probably the silliest thing I've made in a while.
I was watching "And So It Begun" from Shoot From The Hip, and I was thinking what if Mr. Polar Bear actually escaped the moving city and took Julep with him. Eventually she would turn full zombie, but he'd still stick with her since polar bears are immune to the zombie virus. He ends up wandering the countryside with her, protecting her, and hoping that someday they'll find a cure to save her.
Anyway that's now my headcanon for what happened in that story and AJ's character just lied because they escaped. XD

I just wanted to do a lil ilustration for Shoot from the Hip improv to thank them for giving me a reason to laugh these days. Their videos have been such an amazing escape from everything happening here, and they've made me laugh harder than I have in quite a long time. They are an amazing group of friends who are truly masters of improv!
This scene from "The Haunted Diary Entry" (an entirely improvised play) had me in tears from laughing so hard.

I wanted to design a new character since I haven't had the chance to in a while. So I started thinking about what my perfect dragon would be if I could have one. And I came up with this big fella!
He's mischievous and a bit arrogant, but beneath it all, he does have a kind heart. He's also semi-aquatic and fire breathing, because why not! XD

Its so nice to feel like drawing again. It seems like I might finally be coming out the other side of this burnout thats been plaguing me for years!!
I had a realization the other day. The only thing making my life worth living right now is the hope and dream that someday I’ll be able to share Fiero and Lyla’s story with the world. That’s it. I don’t have any life goals or career goals. No aspirations.
And I just don’t have anymore dreams left other than being able to tell this story someday. I fight thru the most difficult times hoping that just up ahead, I’ll be at a place where I’ll have enough stability to focus on the comic again. But it’s yet to happen.
“Fins and Crinolines” means the world to me and it breaks my heart that I still don’t have the time to work on it.
So I gave myself a couple hours today to just doodle Fiero and Lyla, and ended up with this cute lil illustration. 💖
I just want to get this story out into the world before my time is up 😩
