People get really philosophically incensed about it but I honestly really don't mind "consuming content/media" that much as a phrase... There's really no handy way to refer to "watching a movie and/or watching a show and/or reading a book and/or playing a video game" etc etc etc. all at once and every alternative I've seen people suggest has been corny as hell. I certainly won't call it "experiencing art".

I get the distaste for the dumbest 25% of them, but I do think powerscaling and whoWouldWin type discussions are perfectly valid forms of engaging with media.
