He has been frustratingly unlikable throughout Year 6. We are not allowed to properly call him out on his BS or rightfully punch him in the face. He refuses to listen to reason and goes as far as to attack our friends. Rowan has been underutilized for a long ass time and instead of actually using them to the full potential and ACTUALLY include them in the story or side quests or Quidditch, they instead kill Rowan off. Rowan is our best friend and killing them off instead of using them is like turning Ron into  a background character and having Voldemort kill Ron off. Rowan deserved better.

Here is my better alternative. Because of Ben’s aggressive investigation into Rakepick and R, this gets the attention of R and Rakepick. So Ben is drawn away from MC and Merula. Rowan finds us and the three of us search for Ben and we find Ben being attacked by Dementors, so MC and Merula fend them off and Rakepick appears as usual. Rowan is prepared to die, but Ben gets in the way. Ben redeems himself for being an ass all year and saves Rowan. He dies like a true Gryffindor.
