No Cisco, pipe down
I keep telling myself to post fic recs but Iâve been distracted trying to write this Jarrison fic. For the love of god, this is the first time Iâve written fanfic in 15 years and itâs already getting longer than I thought it would be.
Plus Cisco refuses to stop bringing the Harrisco. Which is totally platonic in this fic, no matter what Cisco seems to want. Ha! You can have your bromance, Cisco Ramon, but this is Jarrison first and foremost.
And yet⌠and yet⌠I nearly have this scene finished:
Cisco woke with a gasp, his yell muffled by the pillow.
âRamon? You okay in there?â
His heart raced as if heâd been running for his life. Or someone elseâs. His face was wet and his shirt was soaked. He panted so hard he thought he was going to choke on air. I hate that dream.
The sound of soft footsteps approached his door.
âRamon? âŚCisco?â
The familiar voice calmed him and invoked flashes of the dream -nightmare- at the same time.
âYeah,â He croaked. Tried again. âYeah, dude, Iâm fine. Weird dream.â
ââŚright,â the answer slightly muffled through the door. Harry paused for so long that Cisco thought heâd gone back to sleep. âIâll be out here.â
Footsteps moved away.
Cisco ran a hand through his disgustingly sweaty hair. How heâd gotten to the point where he felt comforted by the simple knowledge that Harry Wells was just in the next room, heâd never know. But here he was. Not that Cisco would ever tell the grumpy bastard that. Deathbed confessions only. He grimaced. Morbid humor sucked.
He put on a new shirt and went into the living room. From the state of the couch, it looked like Harry hadnât been sleeping before Cisco had woken up. Although his hair looked like a dozen gnomes had run their tiny hands through it. Then he remembered the state of his own hair and decided he wasnât gonna be throwing stones tonight. At least he doesnât live in a glass house anymore. Cisco blinked. Wait-
âWhat?â
âWhat?â Cisco repeated stupidly.
Harry shook his head, irritated now. âWhy are you staring at me? Do I have something on my face?â
Yeah, your face, Cisco managed by some miracle not to say out loud. He wasnât really sure if it would have come out as a joke or⌠something else.
Where is the Jarrison? Why havenât I written a word of Harry and Joe actually being romantic, yet? I have the beginning, some of the middle, and this Harrisco scene which slots in near the end but no Jarrison yet.
Damn you, Cisco. Stop distracting me. Youâve already stolen the POV from Joe, okay? Let me get to the Jarrison, please.
