GOD it just brings me such joy lmAO– i’ve seen bits and pieces of the other series! I loved the first two seasons of Flash, but never watched past Flashpoint. (i probably will!) then I watched the first season of Supergirl real time but fell out of it. I have Black Lightning on my list because my brother loves it–and I tried to watch Arrow and could not get into it. its just not for me– theres a lot of flashbacks and man pain, and i like more of a sense of humor with my tv shows, you know? but anyway… enjoy this sketch dump under the read more!

When or if I started shipping it.  I started shipping those two after Versus Zoom when Harry went to see Joe to get Barry to “see reason” about opening a portal for Zoom.  The chemistry was off the wall between them.

My thoughts

What makes me happy about them:  They are two middle-aged guys who understand loneliness, raising a family, obligations, having speedster offspring.  They aren’t soulmates but they GET each other.

What makes me sad about them:  I suspect that neither man is capable of really talking about their feelings, which means loads of unnecessary angst.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:  Hmmm, nothing.  The ship is small and there are only very high quality fics for them.

Things I look for in fanfic:  That they have respect for each other. Joe respects Harry’s intelligence, his quirks, his drive, his obsessive worrying about his daughter, his need to be right all the time, even when he’s so obviously wrong.  Harry respects Joe’s need for order, for rules, for knowing when it’s appropriate to skirt those rules.  He respects that Joe is Barry’s dad and therefore is going to intervene when Harry gets some hairbrained idea that will put Barry in danger.

My kinks:  I don’t think these guys are especially kinky, but perhaps Harry has always wanted to create a line of overengineered sex toys and Joe’s a willing product tester.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not eachother:  Joe and Cecile; Harry and Barry.
