"Yeah, don't I know it?" JJ laughed, shaking his head as he watched Mia paint her fingers and rubbed them together to examine the texture of it against her skin. "Finger painting, yes. I think that's exactly what she's going for," he agreed with a nod and continued to paint the rock into a somewhat decent design, filling in the gaps with clean brush strokes. "I'm trying to make it look like anything but a rock." He shrugged. "Something that'll look nice amongst the pile of the various painted rocks that will be on display at Celestial Foundations, as advertised." He finished painting the rock and held it up to inspect it. "What do you think?"

"Is she normally into the creative arts and crafts, or are you just keeping her busy?" She raised a brow as she finished touching up one of the final few flowers on her stone, finally putting down the brush. "Fair. Didn't know if you had more of a vision in mind, though, suppose it's hard on these in the grand scheme of it all," the smaller brushes and stones, but she gave a nod of appreciation. "I think it looks good!" With a soft smile, she turned hers to show a few daisies and leaves on hers. "Now it's your turn. What do you think- too much?"

Darcy smiled at the women in front of her as she took a sip of her drink that she had in her hands. She smiled, "Oh that is so cute, how did they turn out?" She smiled, she needed to see more what was going on now that her performance was over and she wasn't as nervous as she was before. She smiled and nodded briefly, "I would say so far yeah it was, honestly I haven't performed in so long and it just reminded me why I loved it growing up." She smiled, being on stage then had been a breath of fresh air surprisingly. "I think once I see the kids of slippers perform the dance I taught them, I think it might top it though."

"It turned out well! Though there was surprisingly more glitter than I expected. Jo always seems to keep me on my toes," An exaggerated eyeroll at her sister's antics, but following it with a fond smile. "And do you still love it- ir is it more like looking back on the times you did, kind of more of a remembrance?" She was curious if the stage still called to her, since it looked pretty effortless in her eyes. Though she was curious if it was just a glimpse from the rearview mirror. "Oh, I bet that's going to be rewarding, seeing them perform what you've been teaching them. How long have you all been working on this?"

Giving a small smile to the blonde, Nadine was grateful she didn't overstep. "I just didn't know if it was a creative decision or not, since it's not my place to question your design and hinder your creativity," lithe fingers adjusted the stems of her own so the flowers aligned a bit more, rather than having an uneven arrangement. "But I do think I have the same problem," she nodded in agreement, knowing she was the type to criticize a paragraph when the storyline was just as important. She wasn't surprised it'd translated over to floral arrangements.

"Right to the point, I see. No, hi, hello, how are you- thank you for showing up?" Nadine dramatically rolled her eyes, the faintest hint of a smile on her lips. She always tried to show up whenever her siblings were performing in town, especially at the bigger events. A staunch supporter of them when it came down to it, for putting themselves out there. "You did kill it out there," she admitted, a nonchalant shrug in true younger sibling fashion, before delving into a laugh. "Suppose that earns something."

"No, I--" Elena paused, tilting her head to one side, then to the other, and then back to the first position, realizing that without a doubt, Nadine was one hundred percent right. Something was missing from that spot. "You know what? I am missing something there, I didn't realize that I was looking at it from mostly this angle, and when you turn the bouquet juuust like this," she demonstrated, "you're very right, it's like a chunk of space just asking for something to fill it. Thanks!" She nudged Nadine with a friendly, warm smile, and reached to find a few flowers to try to fill in, knowing it would take a little while to get it just right. "Yours is looking beautiful, by the way!"

"I just think the smaller or more underrated flowers give a sort of depth to it all, you know?" Nadine focused on some baby's breath flowers to add to her bouquet, in addition, as if to prove her point. It was kind of hard to tell without wrapping them up and just laying them on a table, so she gave Elena a shy smile. "Though I do like the vision you're going for," she nodded, knowing the other woman had impeccable taste. "You're welcome!" she nodded, the sweet scent of florals from the different varieties lingered, as she glanced up at the compliment. "Why, thank you! I think I just unlocked a new hidden talent of mine," she joked.

There was something about the performances that had Nadine lurking around; the talent displayed by her fellow Merrockites was always special. Putting a piece of themselves out there was something she couldn't find herself doing, at least while attaching her own name, so the least she could do was appreciate those who did. Giving a small smile at the dark-haired woman, she considered the question. "I made flower crowns with my sister, which was pretty fun... Was yours performing, or is that too on the nose?"

"I made this creative choice on purpose, Dee," Joella nudged her sister gently with a grin. She picked up another flower and stuck it in with the rest. "You know when it comes to flower crowns I don't play around!" she giggled. "What better colors go together than pink and orange? Or maybe I want to tussle with Hello Kitty and toss in like three ribbons," she pointed to the basket near her.

"I'm just saying, Jo, you have quite the focal point, or points," A teasing smile came to her lips as she looked over at her sister, then at her design. Clearly, their views on flower crowns were vastly different, where Nadine wanted a tasteful, simple design, Joella's was...chaotic in the best way. "But it is clearly something," she gave a nod of admiration, before looking over the basket of ribbons with a skeptical glance. "Far be it from me to judge your vision, I'm glad it's that and not something as messy, like glitter."

"Really?" JJ asked the other with a raised eyebrow, looking down at the rock that Mia was supposed to be painting. They had come down to this booth in hopes of painting a rock. But it seems as if Mia had other plans. Her hands were covered in paint, unlike the rock. "We started the day with colouring. Crayons are not messy. Making buttons? That was easier. No mess at all. But this? God, I don't even know why I thought this was a good idea." He sighed, shaking his head as he picked up the rock and painted a few strokes. "I'm just trying to finish her creation and I'll ask my parents to take her home and give her a bath."

"Well, quite the little artist you have on your hands then," Nadine couldn't help but stifle a laugh as she watched the girl with the paints, clearly more interested in the colors than creating a design on the rock, then back to her father. "Have you considered that finger painting is clearly the medium she's going for here?" Putting her brush down for a moment, she gave a nod, a tiny smile coming to her lips at his insistence to finish the design for his daughter. "Anything you're going for? Or is it more, whatever gets this done the quickest?"

Maze did a hard blink, trying to refocus her eyes because she knew that the other was right. Something wasn’t working with her current rock design, she just had no idea what. “No no, you’re absolutely right. I can’t figure out what though …” Her words trailed off, mouth quirking to the side in thought as she leaned back. “You’re sweet, thanks, yours looks amazing.” She gestured to Nadine’s project with a warm smile. “Any advice? Or suggestions, I’m genuinely struggling for ideas.”

"I think the problem is this is too small a canvas for any big ideas," She considered the stone, glancing at the paints on the table for another color to fit into her sunset-inspired design. Her fingers were already flecked with the colors of the sky as she looked over at her question, tilting her head as if in deep thought. "Depends on what you're going for- is it something more abstract, or more realistic? Because they would be vastly different answers."
