this is my new bliss smp analysis
Togez rant, I think it’s just a needed thing for everyone to look at Togez as a character and realize what he’s done. He highkey haunts the narrative in like a “we ain’t ever gonna talk about you ever again but the things you did caused a lasting effect that is so ingrained into us we forget whats it like without it” or something like that ig
I’m open to any critisms, disagreements, agreements, or comments abour my take(s)
————
Out of every bliss member that no longer plays I’m pretty confident in saying Togez is not only my favorite, but also someone so underrated because of how invisible he went.
Disclaimer: Most information is taken from season 2 lost media because members didn’t save VODs at the time. And some spoilers for s3, paragraphs and sections are marked read at your own pleasure.
To me Togez narratively is probably the smartest. Like, I mean actually super smart he could be the next baby genuis- ok no I’m now just glazing. But I do mean it when Togez is probably the smartest bliss smp character narratively during his time on bliss.
To understand what Togez has done in bliss we have to see season two on a pedestal. The reason? A lot of Togez’ accomplishments or achievements then would be seen as unimpressive now. So we have to view the season for what it is, the prequel that wasn’t expecting rapid growth. So the things done in the season are new and big
Okay with that out of the way why am I making a claim so big such as this? It’s because Togez was a vital pillar in the very little intelligence on Bliss at the time. Togez knew a lot of things about the server and it’s people, I remember listening to him talking to server members and thinking how good of a talker he was.
He was able to make deals or trades fairly easy from what I remember. Togez speaks very clearly, and that’s what makes him able to get people to listen to him. But his knowledge was mainly in the game code itself.
I think most of us all know Togez was the first person to find the worst of Gamebreaker exploits. A lot of them can be credited to Togez, I mean thinking about the strength particles, astral spectator, and a ton of the dupe glitched. Togez was also the person who founded the MAIN gem glitch, to get multiple gems. There were multiple but Togez’ example and way was the first and foremost full proof! Aka it’s the one admins allowed after convincing. I’m sure there’s more that I just can’t remember because there were A L O T of exploits that we saw.
But that’s all to say that Togez was really good at knowing how to break the game. Even more he knew how to use the cheats to exploit others and lie. Togez loved to lie, a lot like everyone else. When Togez died before the arc finale he actively used another loophole he knew to trick both console and the admins. That he didn’t have a gem to maintain having two gems and not one.
—THIS PARAGRAPH CONTAINS S3 SPOILERS
But this brings me back to the pedestal scenario. These things today in Bliss wouldnt seem I guess “big” because it’s been done. Think Andromeda, they duped the gems and currently hold two gems. Whe people found out yes they were confused, but it was no reaction matching the magnitude of s2.
The affect Togez had on s3 is super intresting to me. I mean yes orher people were there exploiting during Gamebreakers like Wyll. But Togez was the one who started exploiting and the ended abruptly, because he couldn’t finish it himself. It was the entire reason Wyll wanted to get the golden gem enough to start holding resentment to Mugm.
If you ask me, I don’t think that’s Togez knew what magnitude his words would have. But I do believe they were intentional, Togez from basically right off the bat didn’t like Mugm because he felt wronged by him. And then he couldn’t beat him in an unfair 1v1 when he broke a rule, so he had his entire arc with Wyll wanting to crush Mugm.
During the time Wyll was gone for Gamebreakers, near the end. Togez never called Mugm “the leader” despite being given ownership. Sure he called Mugm a teammate, but that’s more a formality not true feelings. Togez wasn’t someone to just let go of something just because he’s winning.
So when Togez left I do think his words were quite intentional. He wanted WYLL to win, it’s even pointed out in Wyll’s video that Togez wanted him to win and not Mugm. Which brings me to a whole other section.
Togez and Wyll. A deadly duo built on being wronged and seen as less or as non threats. The two were close for awhile, I think it gets overlooked but even before Gamebreakers during other small arcs the two were helping each other.
Whenever something happened on the server the two were most likely right behind the other. In most clips of them finding exploits they’re both there, I remember I made the comparison a little while ago. Wyll and Togez were kind of like the Wyll and Mugm of today, at least with the complex relationship the two had bringing them closer together.
— THE NEXT SECTION WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR BLISS S3 GOLDEN DREAM
This is a little side thing narratively to end this Togez talk. During Golden Dream I think Day 4? (It’s day 4 I’m amazing) in the end we meet alt!Togez.
People don’t understand how insane I went. We met alt!Togez in the end by THE gateway, this is so big at least to me because it’s a realization Wyll in s2 betrayed Mugm for Togez essentially. And then when Togez left for good Wyll lost essentially the last person he could trust with his entire life.
But soon that void was unexpectedly filled by Mugm of all people. And we know the alternates have emotions or at least some level of complex critical thinking. And we also know that the alternates don’t know where Wyll and Mugm came from but they have some understanding of who they could be (As Wyll and Mugm are technically the alternate version of the alternates in their eyes)
Okok so imagine your alt!Togez. And your in the end after being told that there may or may not be two people vaugly looking like your best friend and worst enemy turned complicated ally? And they’re working together to literally KILL the entire server for what we know permanently.
And then imagine being Wyll, who I know is a loser and doesn’t really do all of this sad lore often. But narratively bring in the mind of Wyll having this complex relationship with Mugm that is actually healing and grown to be something so big. And then you get transported into s2, the creation of everything wrong with you. But your with Mugm, oh right the guy you fucked over a ton in s2.
And then your at the end, the place YOU chased Mugm until he died to his own pride. And you look to a gateway, one just like the one Mugm disappeared into for the last time. And something that isn’t Togez, but looks like Togez is there. Staring at you.
A person that you trusted with YOUR LIFE, during the time where your self esteem was so low you built an entire ego around it. This lookalike is wearing a face of the ONE PERSON who believed in him wholeheartedly until the end. And gave up everything he ever owned for the ONE WISH you won and you did.
And now your standing with the person he wanted you to crush to be the last one standing fighting him. But it’s not him, it’s a lookalike who moves just like him.
Holy yapfest… anyways I think it’s fitting that my first post is a whole analysis of s2 Wyll. Well I guess it’s also kinda a history lesson, there’s gonna be info you already know and maybe sum you don’t.
Hopefully everything is correct. It’s been awhile since I’ve talked this much about a character so. Open to critism, disagreements, agreements, or comments.
This is 1/3 of the Wyll rant. 2nd and 3rd part are WIP

BEST VIEWED ON MOBILE
Honestly from what I’ve seen as a “veteran” bliss watcher Wyll has probably one of the most complex characters to talk about just because of how unclear he is on purpose..
First, let me clarify one thing. In Bliss there’s not really a clear villain ever, everyone is both an antagonist and protagonist. So villain, protagonist, and antagonist will probably be used a lot here, even if it’s unclear :P
Basically from frame one on the server Wyll WANTED to do one thing: monopolize. Was it because he was highkey a Reddoons fan? Yeah, totally. I mean his skin was literally just a recoldered Reddoons with a face. But it was also because he wanted one thing, CLOUT. Or I guess, recognition from those around him that he is someone worth looking out for. But this backfired kinda horrendously, not only did he fail at monopolization he easily became a small laughing stock.
But I feel as if this is important, it doesn’t show success. Far from it, but it shows potential and willingness to create conflict for self benefit. Which is what I think, a primary characteristic of an antagonist is. I mean, on Day 2 of the season Wyll found Domonoko’s base and killed him. For no reason other than the fact it’s free energy. And at this time death banning was a thing, so Wyll willingly went to the base and killed him knowing these factors.
Not to mention the killing was an ego thing. Proof that he was dangerous despite not fitting the expectations that the server has of a “dangerous player” no that goes to Mugm. But it once again proves that Wyll isn’t afraid to do meaningless things to let himself benfit, in fact he’s more inclined to do it because it’s meaningless so people won’t react heavily.
Now let’s move onto some of the big plot points a lot of people know about. Like the netherite set, most people know that the set was scattered and Mugm teamed up with Wyll— who had the leggings— to fight Dabbycat and Silvaasaur for the chestplate. Only for Mugm to betray Wyll and take the leggings for himself. Now there’s a bit to unpack here.
First off I give “points” for Mugm being more “villainous” for the betryal. The reason of the betryal being for material gain of power, which is a stable of most antagonistic characters. But I like this moment a lot for Wyll being a villain. Because of what he did during the interaction, and what he did after. Firstly during the betryal he kept denying it at first, refusing to give Mugm the leggings in disbelief.
Which fits a part of the villain narrative a lot. The backstory, Mugm got the tragic villain backstory by being placed into the role. But he never really got hurt by anyone because he didn’t see anyone as an equal. Wyll on the other hand, actually thought the two had something going for them. Until the betryal and everything fell apart for Wyll. So Wyll got the tragic villain backstory of trust being broken after being basically a nobody. The afterwards following a thought process to revenge right away.
His revenge was attempt a deathban against Mugm. It should be noted how dangerous deathbans could’ve been, at this time there were limited revives and if someone you knew or were friendly with DIDNT have one you’d be cooked. So of course deathbans are a true threat, and his immediate solution to his problems was to try and do the most dangerous thing on the server. And he did try only to get betrayed once again by Silva and Dabby, and forced to run away himself.
Another failure for Wyll, I don’t think he had a singular win during these times. He tried a lot but nothing really stuck, which festered within him and did what I see as the start of his self deprecating ego. Where self doubt grew more there also were more walls placed where he would be vulnerable. And hidden behind an ego, or at least false confidence that’s very very self positive.
That’s also a main reason why he started exploring the possibilities of exploits. Because gaining them meant yes power but also recognition from the people around him. Which to me is kind of ironic, because for awhile Wyll was so blinded by wanting to be recognized he didn’t realize that Togez recognized him as who he was. Someone powerful yes, but also someone worth looking at.
I mean he was still so focused on Mugm at this point in time. It was focused on what can we do to Mugm to get him trapped, what can we do to make Mugm banned, what can we do to get revenge on Mugm. He hyper focused on Mugm so much because he felt he was entitled to fit a mold of someone that could rival Mugm at the time.
Really his time during this was that of a spoiled nepo baby with no actual power but thinks he has power so he says random empty threats but the nepo baby is a nepo baby of his own making and admins not wanting to code- ok anyways serious time!
But really though, during this time it’s noted that while he did find exploits it was mainly Togez who used them. And instead Wyll decided to be an asshole and gatekeep border expansion items for like AN H O U R. And the entire time it wasn’t even that Wyll cared, no he admitted that he didn’t care about the actual border expansion. In fact he could care less, but what he did care about is having enough power to hold something against someone. Stunlock them and waste time because it’s a thing he has access to.
This entire arc was built around his hyperfocusing on revenge being done, and a new hyperfocus on being in control. It’s known as of present day that Wyll is a good callout, but here? Oh god he SUCKED. Bliss was much more PvP focused at this time and sometimes the SILENCE THIS GUY PRODUCED. Painful. Videos don’t show the true pain of it at all. But STILL he tried to be in some kind of control whe fighting. On the rare occasions he would speak he would try to say some kind of strategy or something.
But that didn’t last long, because he had to give up his control. And gave it to MUGM of all people. Mainly bc Togez did NAWT wanna do allat and it made more sense for the better PvPer at the time to lead. What people don’t realize is that this transfer of power is vulnerability to Wyll. He’s giving someone else the power of something HE BUILT with Togez.
And when he did comeback ohbro he wasn’t happy. Obviously he knew the events that took place when he got back beforehand, but when he logged on to see Dabby and Silvaasaur there? Not happy, but like silent pettiness! Wyll at this time is much more petty, he was younger and had more room for resentment.
And of course resentment for this final stretch is a large thing for Wyll as a whole. But it’s not resentment that builds and bursts like a chaotic mess. No it’s resentment that is denial turned into realization which switches to challenge. It doesn’t burst like lava, it rumbles. And Wylls resentment is something to explore with how unique it is.
Wyll is not someone who is a big feelings guy. I mean he has go through circling the same topic five times to get to a conclusion. He isn’t one to show off his vunerablity near the end of the server because of his massive failures building his ego wall. I guess you can say at this point in time his ego was deserved, I mean exploiting the game so much you caused an entire war a full of betryal and then highkey dipped? Yeah I guess
The ego of his is a main reason why his resentment didn’t boil over when it grew. And instead was a steady thing that was focused more on the actual process of steps, not the people around. Wyll was heavily focused on WHO got the fragments, and unfortunately that was Mugm most of the time. Someway somehow he got them.
I’m a firm believer that it didn’t matter who got the fragments Wyll was gonna betray. Because Wyll had no attachtment to Gamebreakers anymore, because Togez left. Togez being the last real emotional attachtment he had to that team. Which gets underapperciated mainly because the lack of evidence. But oh my god these two so close, in my opinion Togez and Wyll were the LE when they were alive.
The two had so much genuine trust in each other, anytime one found something the other was always right behind. The amount of trust Wyll held to Togez was so unnatural it seemed so fake at first. But it was genuinley two people fucked over by bliss realizing they don’t gotta be alone.
So being under the impression that Mugm and him were gonna be the ones to betray was nice. Because Togez wanted him to win, it’s why Togez left EVERYTHING to Wyll because he couldn’t see it to the end.
But nice isnt enough, Wyll being who he is takes things to heart even if he tries to deny it. It’s why during the end part of the fragment hunt was a guilotine for whatever hold Mugm had onto Wyll. And it was also what connected the dots to what Togez said, Wyll made it very clear that Togez wanted HIM to win. Not Mugm, not Dabbycat, not The Gamebreakers.
And that brings us to the moment, the duel, the end. Genuine despair. Wyll framed it like he just didn’t want Mugm to get all of the fragments out of nobles behaviors. But we all know he isn’t ‘noble’ he isn’t someone doing this for the server. He’s doing it for himself, to prove to himself that he is someone worth respect.
And Mugm running, that solidified the future of Wyll in my opinion. The moment that pearl was thrown something clicked into place, Wyll IS respectable.
And Wyll got his happy ending after uniting the server (minus Dabbycat and Silvaasaur) against Mugm and WINNING!
Wyll said he was satisfied with not getting the gold gem. And his story with Domonoko ended, remember at the very start I mentioned that one Domonoko kill? Yeah that got solved, and it was important because that one kill. One kill for selfish gain is the only reason all of bliss season 2 went down the way it did.
And thats where I want to mention this, Wyll is a born and built liar. Do I think he ended somewhat satisfied? Yeah probably. Do I think he ended SATISFIED? No, because nothing about Wyll is ever satisfied. And the built up emotional turmoil from having a destroyed self esteem being a laughing stock, to building an wall of ego, having a sliver of control, being a laughing stock again, and gaining “respect”.
Honestly if we wanna go into big bliss lore that wouldn’t have happened because they hate worldbuilding. If Wyll truly was satisfied with his ending on s2, he mightve fit the requirements for Balance. Woah I know hold the tomato’s or questions, let me clarify.
What “Balance” is we don’t really know. And so far Dol9 is the only one whose reached a level of Balance. So lets see two main things I think allowed her to reach this rank. 1) Accept your wrongdoings to an extent of extending apologies but not expecting an answer and 2) go on into the world on your own terms without your life being taken from you unwillingly.
S2 Wyll fits both of those. And he’s really the only one whose does, every other member still had some kind of underlying issue or something they wanted to finish. Of course this part is speculation we won’t ever know about this. I guess you could say Wyll wasn’t happy because he wants to finish s3 like s2, but that goal wasn’t his orginal. And he took that goal when deciding to ally with Mugm during s3. Or at least accepted the fact that was Mugms goal and he’s centered around it.

my torchblossom looks kinda weird guys
Quakitus is scared.
it's terrifying, unnatural to say when she's the one out of any of them to be suspicious of their own teammate. One that she looks out for, one that has her back while she has his.
But still, she's scared. And there's no reason to be. Yet there is, isn't there? Is what the doubt in her guts returns.

thoughts on ending to energy games? :D I'm kinda impressed with it. Bliss is legit the most scripted unscripted server bc wdym the power of friendship actually ended what was shaping up to be the third juggernaut on the LE team
The energy game rulemaking got very clever, and it played such a huge role in the ending. I'm also so impressed with stormz and his planning. Like giving haste 2 to counter pinity running away underground to summoning Saturn and kantje online to get energy to make maces craftable. hazel happening to have a heavy core on hand worked out amazingly well, and ofc we got instant gratification from pinity falling into a pit and hazel landing two totem pops. Legitimately has to be scripted bc wtf!!!! It was so satisfying to watch after 3 grueling hours of chasing.
i really hope he makes a video on this whole thing bc DAMN his story goes hard- gaining heretic from his relationship with LE then losing it in a tragic 2v1 while his friends refused to help/he refused to ask for help, then feeling isolated and alienated from the entirety of the server including his friends. Pinity betrays and he has a fight with dumb bc they team with kantje. Then energy games hits, he faces trials and tribulations, teams back up with dumb, but faces setback after setback RIGHT before the finale with the froggers kill getting stolen from them in a rather scummy (albeit smart) move. Dumb accidentally getting the nebula kill, sanz dying, teaming getting banned, and dumb letting stormz kill them bc they don't wanna play anymore... and then stormz still sticking in the game even tho all hope is conceivably lost and everyone around him has quit. then hopping on regardless and teaming with nemvevo(!!!). Then getting kantje and Saturn to log on so he can kill them to make a risky play (possibly giving pinity the chance to craft a mace) that worked out so well. Then nem personally gifting him auratus !!!!!!
The parallels between the heretic gift from LE and the auratus gift from the bunny buddies are INSANE. Him receiving heretic isolated him and made him a target. it was given to him in consideration of his past, bc of his history with LE. It's backward looking. But him receiving auratus was bc he fought for it. It was given to him with consideration for the future- nem and hazel literally were talking about needing to plan for finale, and about making friends and building bridges. Instead of making him paranoid and fearful like heretic did, auratus makes him confident and bold. It's such amazing unintentional storytelling and I'm actually so in awe. I desperately hope he plays his video out like this. It's the literal perfect storytelling.
also ps bc it's getting too long but there's also something so poetic about how stormz wins despite not fighting at the end. How his instinct is to bash his head into the wall over and over again and yet ultimate victory only came when he strategized and actually called upon others for help. How he had to trust people he called his enemies for so long and they delivered. How most (if not all) of his kills were because people let him kill them- quakitus, dumb, kantje, Saturn, and not bc he actually fought them. GOD ITS SO FUCKING PEEEEAAAAAKKKKKKKK like this is why stormz is my favorite character im so biased he's jsut so goated 😭 😭 😭
(Sorry for the long ask again I keep typing too much....... I'm just so HYPED AAAA)
My first answer got voided so this one might be a bit shorter LOL sorry nonny.
I realllyy liked the ending, it was super fun and also just reinforced the scripted-unscripted nature of bliss. the remaining contenders banding together with the power of friendship to kill the Wicked Witch Of The West.. waow.... Bliss smp truly was our My Little Pony...
I loved the rulemaking they added in egames, it made everything so much more fun and made people think deeper than just splashing pots and right clicking LOL It was so fun to see people banding together energy on rules when the whole point of the games was to gain energy, not waste/use it - very smart on LE's end. Flux being instabanned, to pearl banning, to the kit being changed, which ultimately did snowball into Pinity being our villain of the week, and then shields being banned too.
Stormz thinking of the mace rule was lowk a godsend because he was just thinking on challenging Pinity to a 1v1 and basically just throwing himself at a brick wall which. just no. So thinking on the Mace Rule considering a good amount of the guests wouldn't have heavy cores was such a good idea. Haste 2 for moling was also really really good to shorten tracking and make sure the fight is facing one another instead of running.
He did say he was going to make a video on egames, but I'm unsure if he's going to add the heretic->kantje->dumb timelines but I really, really hope he does. The parallels and the symbolism goes sooo fucking harrddd. The amount of setbacks he faced were so... AUUGHHH... i was clutching my head so hard during the 4 hour run to get kills... them chasing froggers for like, 2 hours and Pinity sneaking in for the kill instead, Dumb getting the kill credit like 2 times, ending with her and Stormz being split up and Dumb deciding to drop out of egames and get Stormz the kill.. oof. Stormz always getting back up again.
During the stream and being high on emotion/adrenaline, I honestly didn't want Stormz to get auratus but after a while and rewatching the vod, he really did deserve it. he really did.
The difference between Heretic and Auratus in the context of Stormz specifically is so. It makes me so ill. He received Heretic because of his actions of violence and fighting(pvp) both his past in TE, and his relentless throwing-himself-at-a-brick-wall during honored one event despite his drained resources. Heretic matched him so well (both in his ability to use it and color scheme) because it kept him stagnant in his bad habits and further perpetuated them, it actively symbolized his inability to let go of his destructive methods and further pushed him into the mindset of how the only thing he's good for is fighting. Heretic was him drowning in his mindset and is what led to him being alone, and leading to him losing Heretic.
Auratus, however, is the antithesis to that. Auratus is a movement gem, symbolizing moving on and growing, and him receiving Auratus when he attempted a new method and grew from his old ways is just so. so. sigh. Auratus being the 'angelic' gem and completely seeming the opposite of Stormz is what makes what Auratus symbolizes(change and growth) seem so impossible and so far out of reach for him. Stormz ditching his methods of blindly running at a brick wall, picking that sword up no matter what, and instead playing from the sidelines, playing the social game, and that leading to him getting Auratus. He got Auratus because of Nem talking about how he moved on and how the beef of TE just washed away, and that Stormz really does deserve it,,, because of Change. His actions that led him to receiving Heretic isolated him while his actions in receiving Auratus healed his relations. He's also completely ass at Auratus further symbolizes how he doesn't do this, how this is genuinely something completely new for him, but he got given this chance either way and that he has time to get better. There Is Always time. And anyway, he has a team this time, he has people.
Its just. clutches head. His obvious regressing habits that he falls back on time and time again being pvp and fighting, which further damage him and his circle, and the time he refuses to go that route and plays behind the scene instead of on the battlefield, he gets rewarded for it. Determination bro. determination.
Also retrograde(nem&stormz) sighs. Nem embodying Change and Moving on and Growth and him gifting Auratus to Stormz basically representing him giving Stormz that chance and ability to get better and better. To grow. It's the perfect leadup into a s4 teamup, im telling you, Iamstormz LOCK IN.
noticed something about how bliss sees dolphin and mugm
