And it's by the avoidant nature of Wyll's, too. The way he sets off on his elytra without looking back, the way his actions become more and more careless and gruesome. He's starting to slip away.

His gaze looks more longing by the day, like he's looking for something but he can't quite get it. As if she can't be the one to give it.

Quakitus's feet fall flat on the floor, movements paused. And for a second, his eyes dart towards his best friend.

Not really.

He looks at Puqi and Wyll discussing intently about the items, plotting to retrieve them all back from the Horizon in spite of their current position. Wyll was reasonably a bit reluctant when suggested to team temporarily by Puqi—Quakitus understands. But they're in desperate need of any kind of help they could get, and information could do wonders for them.

He comes to Wyll and gives him a pat on his shoulder, as to enforce his statement. So eventually; with a nod of his head he caves in with it.

But Quakitus isn't sure if he's telling himself that to justify the sudden change of reason or if he's overthinking it. As if the grip he has on the glowing artifact in his palm is anything but out of the ordinary.

There is zero evidence he can use. No solid alibis to her name and nothing to make proof off of.

And definitely no reason to be paranoid in the first place.

Wyll's my best friend. And if his goal is to kill Mugm, then it might as well be mines too.

So why?

Why is her closest teammate—one that she trusts the most, in a group with the sole person that terrorized their team?

The same player that caused all of these losses? The same villain the server painted out to be? The same person they've been fighting all this time, training and grinding tirelessly for? Hurting and destroying every progress they've ever made?

They're talking and chatting away, as if they weren't just enemies a week ago, as if the rest of the server doesn't exist to them and it was just them two inside a voice group.

She knew Wyll. She knows Wyll and yet she doesn't know what to say—what to do or what to think of this. She simply just stares, distraught at the fact that it was an open group, too.

She feels like she should reach out, talk to Wyll about it and maybe it's all just a smart ploy, that he actually has a plan to deal with this, that he's still in this with the team, together. Anything to prove that Quakitus is wrong, anything to get this nauseating sensation out of her chest, that she's had it all misunderstood: and maybe, maybe, they could start getting back to what they've been aching to do.

So he waits, and waits until it's been 10 minutes max without any sign of his teammate. Impulsively, he grabs his communicator and opens up the chatbox to his and Wyll's and asks him about his whereabouts.
