notes: this is for the mythos (@mythos-blogs) november collab! it’s a ‘the kissing booth’ au so <3 this movie is cheesy so therefore this is cheesy & no i will not apologize for it sorry not sorry.

your intentions were good, truly.

“of course atsumu will be there, duh.” you’d smiled as you stood in front of the student council. you felt it, the instant stiffening of osamu beside you, his tensing at your statement. “how could we have a kissing booth without the miya atsumu?”

“so, you’re saying his attendance is a guarantee then?” the president asked, a hopeful gleam in her eye as she stared at the two of you. “he’ll really be there?”

“yep,” you answer, ignoring osamu’s disbelieving glare aimed at the side of your head as you choke down the immediate dread bubbling in your gut. “he’ll really be there.”

and, okay, maybe you could’ve played it off as him cancelling well enough then, but you proceeded to drag yourself deeper and deeper in your little lie as a group of girls—popular, pretty, and all about everything blond miya related—asked you about his attendance. word got around fast in school apparently. another reason to hate the education system.

“we heard atsumu will be there,” one girl’d said, wide grin on her lips as she popped a bubble of gum. “if you still need us to do it then we will, as long as you promise to let us get our turn with him.”

“if you do this, you can have as many turns with him as you want,” you promise, fake smile on your lips.

osamu waited until they walked away then threw his arm over your shoulder, whistling low and long under his breath.

“we are so dead.”

“so dead,” you whined.

so, so dead.

you’d just wanted your booth to be a success! you and osamu needed it to work out well for your cooking club, the funds were running low and—just like all the other clubs in school—this was your way to cancel it out and get more money. a kissing booth was a great idea, but the way you’d ended up convincing others to joining it is now, decidedly, not.

“no, no way. you guys can’t be serious,” you hold your hands up defensively to the two girls standing in front of you, blindfold in their hand.

“oh we are, we just need a little break. we’ll be back asap. don’t worry!”

and you most certainly don’t like the tone she uses, or the smile that quirks up her lips, or the way she takes a step closer to you and suddenly before you know it there’s a blindfold covering your eyes and you’re being pushed around through curtains and you don’t have to see to feel all the eyes on you as you stumble out.

karma is such a bitch.

someone, though you’re not sure who, is actually kind enough to guide you to the little booth and you grip onto it once you’re in place. you hear a voice to your right and recognize it as suna barking a laugh at somebody. you assume it’s you and you pray to any and all gods above that he doesn’t have his phone out recording this.

(spoiler alert, he does).

there’s a nervousness twisting in your gut, winding you up as your knuckles turn nearly white on the stand. it’s a weird feeling, knowing people are watching you when you can’t see them. your heart is hammering in your chest and you really hate that you’re so nervous over something so silly. it’s not like you haven’t kissed anyone before, if anything this should be easy because you don’t have to worry about anything serious. just a dollar, a kiss, then they go.

a hand brushes yours and you jump, just barely, as you push out a nervous laugh. “uh hey. well, this is a little weird right?” you’re rambling, and you blame your nerves, because suddenly it’s finally crashing down on you what’s really happening. “i mean, i guess it isn’t too bad. it’s just a kiss, right? so it’s no big de—“

you don’t get to finish before a hand is sliding to cup the side of your neck and lips are pressing to yours.

this isn’t how you expected it to go. you’d expected—well, you’re not really sure what you expected. a single peck, a thank you maybe, perhaps the occasional nerds or freaks that tried to get a little handsy before someone helped you shove them off. something a little awkward, a little tense.

what you don’t expect is how soft the person’s lips are, how if you focus enough you can almost taste the mint on the lips from their chapstick. their hand is warm on your throat, thumb rubbing near inexistent circles into your skin that has a heat trickling it’s way all the way from your toes to the tips of your ears. you can smell their cologne, something sweet and oddly familiar in your nose. it’s dizzying, heart clenching (and most certainly not in the bad way) that has you almost wanting to chase after them as they pull away.

it’s against the rules of the booth, you know that, but your fingers find their way to your blindfold and tug.

you think that a part of you should’ve known, should have somehow known that the person you were locking lips with was miya atsumu. it’s obvious now, the entire familiarness of it. it’s blinding how you recognize it all instantly; the chapstick he always carries in his bag, the hands that always teasingly shove you and taunt you, the cologne that his clothes stay continuously drenched in. it’s obvious, it’s unnerving and, fuck, your eyes fall back to his lips.

for a second, a split second, your mind screams at you, yells and kicks and tries to remind you of rule number nine: you can’t date your best friend’s brother.

but as you find yourself leaning in again, crowd of peers and booth and money all momentarily forgotten as atsumu meets you halfway to slam your lips back together in a kiss twice as swooning as the first, you shove that thought as far away as you can and lock it up nice and tight.

because you aren’t dating miya atsumu, the twin brother of your best friend who you’ve known since birth. you’re not.

it’s just a kiss. that’s all.

…right?

Pair: Daichi Sagawara x reader

Summary:  Daichi, an owner of a bookshop, hopes to have the same love story as the famous Anna Scott and William Thacker with you as his partner.  However, would that be possible if you are the kind of woman who reaches for big dreams far from him? 

A/n: Yes! I managed to finish it before the deadline lol.  This is a piece set in the Notting Hill movie.  This is for the @mythos-blogs​ nov collab.  I hope you guys like this lol.

Everyone knows the famous story of a famous actress visiting a small travel bookshop and meets the owner…then eventually that’s when the love story begins.  Everyone in Notting Hill and eventually around the world knows of this magnificent story the moment Anna Scott smiles at the great confession of the owner of the travel bookshop, William Thacker. 

It sure is nice to hear the story. Some would even envy their stories.  Some would hope to suddenly have an actor or actress just suddenly and smoothly enter their lives.  And most likely, Daichi Sawamura kind of hopes the same thing as well in a way.  He has his own…bookshop.  He manages it on his own.  He lives in a much less urbanized part of London as well. 

Though, for Daichi’s case, it isn’t exactly because he just wants to have the same story as this famous Anna and William.  He wants it because he thinks it is the only way he’ll even be able to make himself believe that the chapter he flipped isn’t over yet. And if it ever ended, the love story he heard was the only reason why he wants to believe that the next chapter is something with you rather than a chapter of moving on. 

You , his eventual closest friend. 

You, his one and only love of his life. 

You, the only sunshine he waits for as he just waits for customers in his small local shop. 

You, the person he wants to say “I like you” to.

You, the person he believed when the words “I’ll come back,” slipped through your lips. 

As so he heard about the story of William and the great actress, Anna Scott, months passed by that they cut off their communication and eventually some kind of fate pulled them back again in each other’s arms.  That part of that story is probably the one thing he hopes to have with you. 

At the night when you told him that you’ll be leaving, he sure does not want that goodbye as a symbol of what you two to just disappear.

You did not understand why Gojo told his name back then so you went along playfully and said “Hey i am y/n! But you said someone else’s name so i must be looking similar to them hahaha!” He didn’t say anything so you proceeded by asking him if he was Gojo Satoru. “I want to learn how to play guitar and a friend of mine told me to come see you. You are in a band, right?? So if you’re okay with this, would you like to teach me? I’d appreciate it.” At first he declined and told you he was busy. After all how could he stand being around you when you looked like him. Your long black hair, your skin, your eyes, the way you talk... But when you looked at him with puppy eyes he knew he was defeated so he accepted to teach you. Though you should’ve let him be when he first declined you, but again how could you know?

—You may claim your characters and movies/series from September 17 to November 15.

—Pieces should be done on/or before NOVEMBER 15. Be sure to tag @mythos-blogs so we can put it in the masterlist.

—You may choose from any movie and/or series with the genre of your choice.

— It doesn’t have to be by verbatim, but the fic or art must have the general gist of the movie.

—Choosing from ANY FANDOMS is allowed. However, the selection of characters, movies and/or series, are first come first serve.

—There is a limit of x3 fics/art for one character, in hopes that we can have a good selection. However, repetition of movies/series are not allowed.

—OCs, Standalone characters, and x reader/self-inserts are allowed.

—It doesn’t matter which timeline or part for as long as the fic is still connected to your selected movie/series.

—Writing pieces should be written with a minimum of 500 words.
