officer!sawamura daichi always gets you out of trouble, until one day he snaps. .(Ņ`_Ā“)
tw: implications of alcohol
"take care of yourself, alright ma'am?"
sawamura daichi, your local cop, and not to mention crush sweetly says as you get off his police car.
it was around 11pm at this point, and officer daichi ran into you during his nightly patrol. you were lost in your new town, to say the least. luckily, he was kind enough to drop you off back home.
he was different, honestly. way more pleasant than whatever those rigorous cops back in tokyo treated you. god forbid you find the nice guy cute.
not only cute, but he was the most responsible and respectful gentleman you've ever set your eyes on.
the first time you met officer daichi was memorable. three days after moving into your first home, who would've thought you'd get robbed? well, no shit, cause you forgot to lock your door that evening when you went out. but the ever-so-responsible daichi was there to save the day when he easily caught the burglar for you via cctv. a moment for the history books, you can say.
embarrassingly, your second time running into daichi was when someone called the cops on you. you didn't mean to forget to pay the old lady at your local bakery! seriously, you had yapped about your experiences in tokyo so much to the point where the poor woman's ears fell off. and to the point where you forgot to hand her your 300-yen payment.
but daichi was your savior, coaxing that old woman with that kind tone of his, plus even paying double for you. you conclude that that was the sexiest thing a man could do.
you bite back your growing smile, stopping by his rolled-down window. "thanks so much for dropping me off, officer." you say, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. daichi flashes you his big grin, "not a problem at all. i'm glad you're safe."
you can't help but chuckle softly. "you're not getting off work soon?" you converse, and he shrugs, "unfortunately. i'm a busy bee."
cheesy. but your heart begs to differ with the way it flutters at the sound of his voice.
"don't push yourself too hard," you say, a bit too enthusiastic to give him some affirmations. you're giddy as fuck, rocking back and forth on your heels, and you can't help but blush.
your officer laughs, "i should be worrying about you, miss troublemaker." you huff, but he continues to speak, "but thank you, really. no need to show concern for me."
"alright well..." you trail off, lifting your eyes. you meet his, and you're suddenly at a loss for words.
"i'll see you around, ma'am." he finishes for you, a soft, genuine smile graces his lips. one might think it's only saved for moments like this, but maybe you're being delusional.
shyly nodding, you take a few steps back to the sidewalk, giving him a tiny wave. daichi tips his officer's cap, looking at you one last time before driving away.
rushing to your bedroom, your heart is beating uncontrollably, your mind racing with thoughts of your handsome police officer who showed much care for you. maybe it was the bare minimum. maybe he was doing his job. but so what? you were absolutely head over heels for sawamura daichi.
flopping onto the bed with a squeal, you kick your sheets up and down while giggling into the pillow.
god, the way his lips move when he smiles, the way he took his uniform cap off, the way his hair was slightly messy from his long shift...
you roll around in bed, hugging your pillow tightly. oh, and you imagine how his beefy policeman arms would wrap around you. maybe even from behind when you're brewing him his morning coffee for work.
and fuhhh those thighs, you bet he's never skipped a leg day with how refined they were. you wonder if he's played a sport in high school, with how athletic he looked.
stupidly, you almost drool at the thought of him. however, you sit up abruptly, bringing out your phone to do some innocent stalking.
pulling up the miyagi police department website, you stumbled upon the police directory, and lo and behold, you find his id photo. and shit, he looked immaculate. like the golden retriever you've always wanted as a child, human version.
"sawamura daichi, huh?" you whisper under your breath, slumping back onto your pillows, biting your lip as you dig in further.
you decide to go on facebook, (he's a boomer who doesn't have instagram, unfortunately), and find his accountā how lucky you were.
there he was, his profile picture with his big ass grin, eyes crinkled and hair neat, in a green zip-up turtleneck, and a snowy background being the cherry on top. "he's so cute," you click on his profile, scrolling down his facebook.
he's an album guy, to say the least. one for his police academy graduation, one for the time he watched the volleyball olympics in 2021, and one for his high school volleyball team with a whopping 167 photos and videos. that's dedication at its finest.
you scroll for a good hour, ogling him in more ways than one.
just then, you get a text from your friend, inviting you to a night out tomorrow.
f<3: hey, yokocho w me, tomorrow 9pm plsss? (āļ½ 3ā²ā)
the goat: alr bet ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
you sigh, clicking off her message to look at daichi's facebook one last time. your finger traces the outline of his jaw through the screen (weirdo!), before finally shutting off your phone.
-
the next 25 hours go by like a microdream. seriously, you can't remember anything. or how you even ended up in this situation.
"come on, you're all alone, right? where's your friend?" a man beside you spoke in a coaxing manner, trying to get close to you. but you're quick to duck away, glaring at the blurry face. "fuck off... i'm going home," you grumble, running your fingers through your hair. you felt like you were about to puke.
you force yourself to stand straight, stumbling towards a vending machine to get water. "water..." you murmur, squinting your eyes at the bright light.
"hey, are you alright? want me to take you home?" that agitating, grating voice, again. like... gun to your headā who is this?
you turn around with a scowl, "didn't i tell you to piss off?" scratching your head in frustration, you attempt to get this man to leave you alone for the 4th time tonight.
"don't be like that, doll. i'll buy you another drink, even." he tries to convince you again, and you roll your eyes, turning away.
you hazily turn your phone on, tapping and tapping away to try and get a hold of your friend to come and save you. but you're interrupted by the random, as he tugs on your wrist, clearly frustrated at this point.
"hey! who ya texting now?! i've been tryna get your attention, it wouldn't hurt to be kind, won't it?" he pulls at your arm, and you groan, "that fucking hurts, asshole!"
he then yanks your phone away, making it fly to who knows where, you gasp, looking at him with wide eyes. "oh now you've done it!" you stomp your feet, tugging at his collar to give him a beating.
he growls, "huh?! you think you can hurt me, bitch?!" the man grabs your wrists again, shoving you off him, and you nearly fall. "did you just call me a bitch?!" you scream, winding your fist up to hopefully land it directly at his face.
"i took taekwondo in elementary school, fucking try me, pervert!" squaring up, you glare at the man like he was the devil himself.
he scoffs at that, "try smiling more instead, useless hags like you won't ever pull if you act like that!" he spat, before moving closer to you, hand raised.
you feel your ego shatter into atoms, suddenly ducking down to dodge as you protect your head from his attack. but much to your surprise, his arm is stopped by someone else, and you lift your head to see who.
"hit her and i'll put you in jail," a deep, stern voice rumbles from beside you, and you hear angels sing their heavenly tune at the sight of him defending you.
"officer sawamura..." you whisper his name under your breath.
daichi shoves the man's hand away, giving him a glare while he pathetically runs away. then, the officer crouches down and checks up on you, eyebrows furrowed. "are you alright?"
you nod immediately, holding onto his forearms as he helps you up. daichi guides you to lean against the alleyway's wall, before buying you water quickly.
he hands it to you, and you take the drink without question. taking a few sips, you softly sigh before looking at daichi with a small smile, "i'm feeling better nowā"
"what were you thinking?!" you jolt at his sudden snap.
shit, he looked angry. you fell speechless; your eyes widened while daichi pinched his nose bridge. "seriously, charging towards him. you genuinely thought you could handle him?" he crosses his arms. you feel small all of a sudden.
"i-" you try to defend yourself, but your officer doesn't give you time to speak, "imagine if you got seriously hurt, or worse, sexually assaulted?" he scolds you. "why don't you ever think before doing anything?!"
your expression fell at his anger, heart aching whilst he spoke. frowning, you couldn't stay silent. "why are you so angry for no reason?! it wasn't even my fault!" you exclaim, cocking your head as you scrutinize daichi.
you hear daichi huff, keeping his eyes on yours with a visage you never expected a man as gentle as he could have. "yes, it wasn't your fault. my point is... i don't want to keep seeing you in vulnerable situations like thisā"
scoffing, you interrupt daichi, "why should you care? you don't even know me!"
"because i just do! maybe it's in my nature, maybe it's just my job butā"
daichi takes a deep breath, shaking his head and rubbing the back of his neck. "what? what is it?" you step closer, and his eyes land on you again.
despite looking like an alcoholic mess, you still stood gorgeous in front of him. "but you worry me. so much. more than it should be." he finishes, hands falling to his sides.
your breath hitches slightly. that one had a little kick to it. you feel your heart in your throat. you feel your blood rush to your brain. you're feeling all emotions at once.
"what do you mean by that, officer?" you softly question, and you're no longer angry. you and daichi simply fall into a silence that's only filled with your racing heartbeat and unsaid thoughts that run through your head.
then, slowly, officer daichi takes your hand into his, looking down at you like you meant the world to himā and you probably do because he mutters gently: "i think i'm in love with you."
you feel your heart drop to your ass. in a good loving way, of course.
"s-sorry?" you breathe, for what feels like the first time.
"i'm in love with you, ms. troublemaker." he chuckles now, gazing at the floor nervously. "you are?" you question, like a detective interrogating.
as patient as daichi is, he responds once more. "i am."
you start to turn red at his words, starting to think that maybe you're still drunk and you're hallucinating things. but at the same timeā you hope this isn't just some dream.
"gosh..." you're bashful, at a loss for words at his sudden confession. just moments ago, you were lashing out at each other, but now...
officer daichi speaks again, sensing the awkwardness, letting go of your hand. "my apologies, if it was so sudden, i know i'm just a policeman to you but iā"
you catch his wrist, taking a firm step forward, "no! noā" you exclaim, and his eyes widen. "you're not just a policeman, daichi. you're everything." you admit, "your smile, your kindness, the way you speak, the way you make me feel safe... it's everything to me."
he blushes now, hiding the bottom half of his face with his free hand. "i didn'tā i didn't think you'd feel that way."
"i do." you respond quickly, "i do feel that way."
a beat passes, and you boldly place both hands on his cheeks. daichi stumbles back slightly, his hands holding your waist for stability.
"so i'm sorry for worrying you!" you exclaim, inhaling to calm yourself down before looking at him dead in the eyes. "and i love you too, officer."
and with your words, officer daichi couldn't help himself anymore.
he leans down, eyes shut and lips plump.
"w-wait!" you stop him with a hand on his lip, and his eyes open in confusion. "wait, i drank a lot of alcohol..." you mutter, removing yourself from his hold to get the bottle of water from earlier, chugging it down and cleaning your mouth.
daichi laughs, finding the moment comically endearing, and you find your way back into his arms. "okay, i'm ready now." you shut your eyes then, waiting for him to make a move.
the officer grins down at you, admiring the way you look, expectant and a mess. you peep, one eye open, with a sigh. "come on, don't keep me waiting."
"my apologies, ma'am," daichi teases, before landing his lips on yours. the most gentle, romantic kiss you've ever had. your heart almost leapt out your chest.
you were kissing the man of your dreams. hands on his shoulders, and his on your waist.
looks like getting in trouble often paid off.
you both gently pull away; eyes locked onto each other's. but you can't help it, a laugh escapes from the two of you.
"i think it's time for you to head home, ma'am." his forehead rests on yours, and your arms wrap around his neck, holding him tight.
"only if you'll take me,"
"anything for my favorite citizen."
-
"by the way, how'd you find me back there?" you question, sipping your mos burger soda while you gaze at him as he drives.
he takes a bite from his burger with one hand, the other gripping on the steering wheel. muffled, he responds, "you texted me on facebook."
you gasp, "i did?" you feel embarrassed now, rushing to get your cracked phone out your purse.
"holy shit, i did!" you laugh, reading your hilarious messages, not to mention daichi's hilarious replies.
daichi huffs, glancing at your humored state before speaking, "you genuinely worried me, imagine getting 17 spam texts and 3 missed calls on facebook." he clicks his tongue, making a left on your street.
you grin, "oh well, now that you're with me, you're definitely getting those more often."
"i'm not complaining about it." officer daichi says.

Daichi Sawamura likes you.
Noāhe really, deeply loves you.
It was not some fleeting crush that had blossomed overnight, nor was it a phase.
He had harbored these feelings since the two of you were merely twelve years old in junior high.
In fact, it happened when he spotted you during the welcoming ceremony.
And both of your eyes locked, to one another and when you smiled back at him, the image became permanently etched in his mind. Especially when your face lit up with a smile or a laugh.
He tried countless ways to approach you to catch your attention, dropping subtle hints and signs along the way.
Faking accidental bumps with you or coughing out loud when youāre near, it was obvious he was trying to get your attention.
He was too shy to confess his feelings so he kept his adoration feeling a secret and instead, he would simply steal glances at you.
Your sitting on your desk while talking to your friends?
He is staring at you, while his friends deadpans at the sight.
You walked past him during the hallways?
He was already staring at you, and almost tripped.
Of course you noticed, at first you found it awkward since you didnāt know what to do, but when you finally initiated a conversation with him, he was so startled that he slapped his own face.
The sudden action left you worried and concerned, but when he immediately snapped back into a serious expression, and you couldn't help but burst into laughter.
And thatās how the two of you became friends.
Now the both of you are in your senior year, but to daichi, he was still the same the moment you smiled at him.
If your fingers accidentally brushed his while passing a notebook or a drink, he would freeze for a second before quickly composing himself and pretending nothing had happened.
Sometimes, he even had to excuse himself afterwards just to catch his breath and calm his racing pulse.
He was hopelessly in love with you.
He desperately wanted you to know, but the number one enemy of having a crush, ārejectionā terrified him.
He settled for what he believed was enough: being your dependable "friend."
Heāll walk you home, wait for you after class, and carried your school bag anytime, anywhere.
Heāll buy your favorite beverage from the vending machine, get you that sweet bread you wanted at the cafeteria, will listen to every story you wanted to share, no matter how long it took.
If you asked him to accompany you anywhere, the answer was always an immediate yes.
You want him to do something for you?
Heāll immediately do it.
You want to go to his games?
Heāll immediately say āyesā and let you watch them fail or win.
(Remember that before the story line, Karasuno suckedā¦at their games..)
You want someone to talk to and your crying?
Donāt worry heāll be there for you on the phone or immediately listen to you and reassure you.
To simply put it, if he can do it, heāll do it and even he couldnāt heāll make an effort
He convinced himself that if he could not be the person you loved, he would at least be the person you could always rely on.
However, Daichi failed to realize was that you had also fallen in love with him just as long ago.
Unfortunately, both of you were completely oblivious airheads, while everyone around you saw right through it.
The Karasuno volleyball team had abandoned all attempts at subtlety months ago.
The entire gym knew that Daichi always anticipated your presence at practices and games.
Even Takeda-sensei and Coach Ukai noticed, with Ukai frequently grumbling and offering him unsolicited romantic advice on how to win a girl over.
ā you see, Daichi to get a girl you mustāā
āHAHAHA, what are you saying coach ukai?ā
Which makes coach ukai sigh and deadpan, heās just trying to help Daichi get that and not fumble.
And it was incredibly common for the team to overhear your mutual inquiries throughout the day,
āAsahi-san, have you seen Daichi? We promised to walk home together.ā
āSuga, did you happen to see where, ā¦. , went?ā
āKiyoko-san, do you still have that picture of Daichi from the summer festival?ā
āKiyoko-san, do you have a photo of , ā¦.. , from the festival? Could I please have a copy?ā
āSugawara-san, could you give this to Daichi? Let me know if he's skipping lunch again.ā
āHinata? Kageyama? Do you see, ā¦. , are they already waiting for me?ā
āHi Coach Ukai, are you guys done with practice?ā
It was painfully obvious. It kinda ifruriated them since they already ship you both and cannot deal with this anymore.
Before, tanaka nishinoya and sugawara would drop subtle hints and teasing daichi but now they all up their game and making it obvious
āDaichi, you know, ā¦. , likes you right ?ā Tanaka said,
āWhat are you talking about tanaka?ā
And in response tanaka will just silently close his eyes and breath in and out to calm him down irritated at this because he knows Daichi is loosing so many chances and keeps playing these games.
āāāāąØą§āāāā
Practice had just finished and You stood patiently outside the gymnasium, clutching your bag.
āWaiting for our captain again?ā
Sugawara said while he showed up beside you, wearing a mischievous grin. While Asahi was right next to him both walking towards you.
"You know," Suga continued playfully, "you're the only person capable of making Daichi wrap up cleanup duty early. Usually, he spends an extra twenty minutes lecturing Hinata and Kageyama."
You offered a soft laugh,"I really don't mind the wait."
Asahi offered a gentle, warm smile. āIt's truly nice that the two of you always walk home together.ā He paused, hesitating slightly. ā...Though, I think Daichi worries about you more than anyone else. He practically panics if he thinks you're walking home alone.ā
Sugawara burst into a fit of laughter. "Remember that one time they left the school grounds without letting him know?"
You nodded, vividly recalling the amount of missed calls that had lit up your phone screen.
Asahi nodded in confirmation. āHe called them...ā
āā¦ten times,ā Suga chimed in, laughing hysterically. āIn the span of five minutes!ā
Before Asahi could offer an apology for Sugawara's blunt amusement, the heavy gym doors slid open.
Daichi stepped over, zipping up his black Karasuno jacket. And then his eyes landed on you, The disciplined expression he maintained during practice softened when he looked at you.
"Oh. There you are,ā he murmured. He jogged over with an apologetic smile. āSorry to keep you waiting.ā
Without a second thought, he reached out and seamlessly tookyour school bag before you could even utter a word.
āThe first-years were being...energetic today,āhe explained.
āThey always are,ā you laughed softly. You looked behind him and saw Hinata and Kageyama going at it again.
Sugawara casually draped an arm over Daichi's broad shoulders, "You know... the weather is really turning cold these daysā¦."
Daichi narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "...And?"
Suga's grin widened. āIt's just the perfect weather for holding hands. ...Or, you know, finally asking someone a very important question.ā
Daichiās ears flushed a violent shade of pink.
āHey, I'm just saying,ā Suga chuckled, turning his gaze toward Asahi. āBut some people are incredibly blind, right?ā
Asahi instantly panicked, waving his hands frantically. "U-Uh... yes! I meanāno! I meanā!" Sensing how Daichi might get mad , he grabbed Sugawara tightly by the sleeve and began dragging him away. "We're leaving! Have a safe walk home!"
Asahi waved over his shoulder as he hauled his teammate away, while Suga effortlessly brushed off the tension, waving goodbye and silently mouthing the word āConfess!āto Daichi.
The two third-years vanished down the hill, with sugawara laughter echoing.
āāāāąØą§āāāā
A comfortable silence settled between the two of you.
Making Daichi cough,"Shall we?" Daichi asked, offering a gentle smile. You nodded, and your familiar walk to go home began.
Just as he had done for the past five years, Daichi automatically took the side of the path closest to the street. Whenever a bicycle sped past, he instinctively guided you further from the curb without a moment's hesitation.
āCareful,ā he warned softly, pointing ahead. āThere's a loose rock right there.ā
He offered his forearm and You looped your arm through his, neither of you acknowledging how entirely natural the gesture felt.
Occasionally, your hands would brush against one another, or your fingers would intertwine before both of you awkwardly pulled away in silence.
āDon't mind Suga," Daichi muttered quietly, breaking the stillness. "He just says whatever pops into his head, these daysā¦ā
āIts okay,āyou replied, smiling softly as the chilly evening air turned your breaths into small plumes of white mist.
After a long pause, Daichi spoke again, his gaze fixed on the path ahead. ā...I just really like making sure you get home safely.ā
āIt gets dark so early now. It's the least I can do...āHe swallowed hard. ā...as a friend.ā
As a friend.
The phrase carried a heavy, aching weight that made your chest to tighten. You looked down at your shoes.
You cherished how dependable he was, how safe you always felt walking by his side, and how heāll always talk to you and make sure you are comfortable.
Yeah just friendsā¦.
But lately, being "just friends" felt completely outgrown.
"Daichi?ā
āHm?ā He immediately looked down at you, his attention entirely yours.
āIāve been wonderingā¦.do you... only walk me home because we're friends?ā
Daichi froze in his tracks. While the wind breeze blew over the both of you.
"I...ā he stammered. He tried to clear his throat. āI... well..ā
He began rubbing the back of his neck "...No," he finally whispered. He swallowed roughly, his voice dropping so low it was nearly swallowed by the wind.
"It's not because we're just friends. I've... liked you... since junior high."
He let out a nervous, self-deprecating laugh. "I actually spent years trying to force myself not to. It didn't really work out."
Your eyes widened in pure astonishment. "...You like me?"
Daichi nodded genuinely. ā A lot. More than I think I know how to put into words.ā
āIām sorry forā"
You interrupted him with , a laugh that escaped your lipsābecause of the sheer wave of relief. āGosh, we both are dumbassesā you thought to yourself.
You reached out, sliding your fingers directly into his open palm, letting your fingers lock with his while reaching out to hug him.
"You're an absolute idiot, Daichi Sawamura."
He blinked in confusion.
"I like you for a very long time too," you confessed.
Daichi stared down at your joined hands and embraced you back.
He didnāt believe that this was real.
When he finally looked back up to meet your gaze, relief washed over his face then he gave a breathless, genuinely happy laugh escaping him. "Sugawara is absolutely never going to let me live this down."
You giggled softly, squeezing his hand. "We don't have to tell them just yet."
"No?" His smile beamed so brightly it made your pulse flutter.
"No," you agreed. "Whenever you are ready we can tell them."
With your fingers firmly intertwined, walking down the street hand and had.
āāāāąØą§āāāā
One Week Laterā¦
It had been exactly one week since Daichi had finally confessed.
One week since the two of you started dating.
Yeah when you said you donāt have āwe donāt have to tell themā the both of you are practically outing yourself by how obvious it has beenā¦.
Practice had barely started when Hinata squinted at his captain from across the court. āā¦Is it just me,ā he whispered loudly, āor has Daichi- senpai been acting super weird all week?ā
Kageyama glanced over. Daichi was quietly gathering volleyballs, softly humming to himself. āā¦Heās smilingand glowingā¦,ā Kageyama noted, his brow furrowing in deep confusion.
Tanaka shuddered dramatically, rubbing his arms. āItās freaking me out, man!ā
āDid he win the lottery or something?āNishinoya squinted looking at him,
Asahi smiled knowingly, but staying quiet. Across the court, Sugawara had both hands clamped over his mouth, tryingāand failingānot to laugh out loud.
Daichi turned sharply after hearing his name. āWhat are you guys gossiping about over there?ā
āOhā¦.Nothing!ā Suga replied, his voice dripping with feigned innocence. āYou just seem⦠exceptionally happier lately.ā
āNo way,ā Tanaka countered immediately. āDude, you are literally glowing.ā
āOhā¦have I?.ā Daichi questioned himself.
āYou totally are,ā Ennoshita agreed, nodding firmly. āYouāve smiled more this week than you usually do and havenāt given a scolding at all, Sawamura-san.ā
Tsukishima sighed, lazily adjusting his glasses. āIt's honestly nauseatingā¦to seeā¦ā
ādon't be rude..tsukishima-sanā Yamaguchi whispered, nudging his friend before turning to Daichi with a shy smile. āBut really, it's great to see you looking so relaxed!ā
Daichi coughed loudly into his fist, unsuccessfully trying to hide the faint pink creeping onto the tips of his ears. āā¦Just focus on practice.ā¦ā
āHEāS BLUSHING! THE CAPTAIN IS DEFLECTING!ā Nishinoya shouted, pointing a finger in accusation.
Before Daichi could yell at them to stop slacking, the heavy gym doors slid open. You stepped inside the gym, holding a neatly packed, multi-tiered lunchbox.
āHey, Daichi... I accidentally made way too much food this morning,ā you said, offering a soft smile. āI thought Iād bring some by for you to eat after practice.ā
Every single head in the gym slowly snapped toward the entrance.
Daichi's expression softened instantly. And a warm smile that heād been trying so hard to suppress broke through completely.
He quickly walked over, accepting the lunchbox with both hands
āThank you,ā he said softly, his eyes locking onto yours. āYou really didn't have to.ā
āOh..tiās nothing,ā you replied, feeling your own cheeks heat up.
The chaotic gym suddenly fell into absolute, dead silence.
Over at the manager's bench, Yachi gasped, her hands flying to her burning cheeks. āOh my gosh, it's happening right in front of us!ā
Kiyoko gently adjusted her glasses, and smiled at the scene infront of her, āit's about time,ā she murmured softly.
Sugawara slowly looked around the room, raised his hands, and dramatically clapped once.
Asahi smiled warmly, joining in with a gentle, proud clap of his own.
āCongratulations, buddy,ā Asahi said, patting his back, tearing up a little.
Tanaka blinked, processing the scene in slow motion. āā¦Wait. ā¦WAIT.ā His eyes grew impossibly wide as the gears finally turned in his head. āCAPTAIN ACTUALLY GOT THEM?! THEY'RE A COUPLE?!ā
Nishinoya let out the loudest, most ear-screeching cheer, āI KNEW IT! I TOTALY CALLED IT! YOU OWE ME ONE, TANAKA!ā
Hinata and Kageyama stared blankly between the two of you, entirely out of the loop.
āā¦Wait, they werenāt already together?ā Hinata asked, tilting his head.
āI thought they had been dating since last year...āKageyama admitted, looking genuinely bewildered.
Sugawara laughed so hard he lost his footing, having to lean heavily against Asahi for support. āIāve been waiting FOR YEARS, for this day!ā
By the back table, Coach Ukai crossed his arms, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. "Well, would you look at that.
Daichi buried his face entirely in his free hand, his ears burning bright red. āā¦Can everyone please just go back to practice?ā
āDAICHI WILL BUY US FOOD AT THE CONVENIENCE STORE AFTER THIS!ā Nishinoya roared.
Standing right beside you, Daichi could only let out a a sigh Defeated by his team's chaotic nature then , he looked down, gently sliding his fingers between yours to hold your hand tightly.
Written by Jammy. Please do not copy and paste or feed my work into an AI. This was completely written by hand, thank you for stopping by and reading!
The room was too still. No ceiling fan hummed, the air was thick, heavy, and hot.
You layed motionless, every muscle in your body screaming in protest. The darkness felt physical, pressing down on you. But it was the weight over you that was the real cage.
Daichi layed across your body, not just holding you, but pinning you. His massive chest completely covered yours, his right thigh was heavy across both of your legs. You couldn't lift your torso, you couldn't kick your legs.
Your left wrist was locked tight in Daichi's grasp. His fingers dugging in, the tips of his fingers pressing brutally against your delicate bones. It throbbed with a dull, constant ache. If you moved so much as a centimeter, his grip instantaneously tightened, his strong fingers squeezing until you were forced to gasp, a silent warning that resistance was futile.
"Trying to run away again?"
The voice came out of the blackness, low and terrifyingly cold. You felt his hot breath graze the sensitive skin behind your ear, sending a jolt of pure terror down your spine.
"Daichi" you mumbled. Tears slipped down your face. "Please! You're hurting me."
He chuckled. The sound was sharp, without any of his usual warmth. It was the sound of a man who enjoyed having absolute control.
"Iām keeping you safe." he stated flatly. He shifted his weight just enough to make you wince, pressing down harder on you. "You don't listen when I tell you what's good for you. You don't understand the dangers out there. I have to make sure you stay."
"My keys." you whispered, desperation taking over. "Please, just let me go. I won't tell anyone, I promise."
You felt his grip on your wrist shift slightly, but not to loosen it. His thumb began to move, rubbing hard, painfully hard, over the pulse point of your locked wrist. Thump. Thump. Thump. Fast. Terrified.
"Your keys?" He let out a harsh, cutting laugh. "Sweetheart. Those are gone. Gone, just like that phone you tried to hide under the mattress last night."
His voice dropped lower, turning into a threatening growl. "I saw what was on there. I saw that text you tried to send. 'Help.' Such a simple word."
Your heart stopped. He hadn't just taken your phone, heād read it. He knew.
"You really thought someone could take you away from me?" Daichi demanded. He finally moved his face, turning it so he was looking down at you . You couldn't see his eyes, but you knew they were boring into you, full of that dark, possessive intensity. He suddenly dropped his heavy forehead onto the side of your neck, his lips brushing your skin with a brutal force that wasn't a kiss. It was a brand.
"This is your home now." he whispered against your skin, his grip on your wrist tightening to a bruising crush. "You belong right here, under me. Safe from everyone else. Safe from yourself."
You finally broke, a sob ripping from your throat. "Daichi stop! You're breaking my arm!"
He immediately shifted again, rolling you onto your back with terrifyingly casual strength and dropping his full weight onto you, pinning your shoulders to the mattress with both of his large hands.
"Don't. Shout." His voice was deathly calm now, and that was infinitely more terrifying. He lowered his face until his nose was nearly touching yours. "You don't want to make me angry, do you? Because when I'm angry, I stop caring about being gentle."
You stared up at him, paralyzed, your eyes wide with terror as your breath hitched in short, panicked gasps.

sometimes i make myself sad thinking about how realistically my faves wouldn't be into chubby girls (as a chubby girl) but then i remember that "realistically" means fuck all in fandom lmfao
contentĀ ā suggestive, fluff, very small talk of pregnancy, not proofread, i got this idea from saving too many tiktoks of the trend so i made a fanfic version of it. i hope you guys enjoy <3
series m.list ą¹ each part is about 450-700 words long
the subway was too cramped. you stood at the far back, leaning against the surface behind you while your friend held onto the metallic bar next to you. the entire ride, irritation had been etched onto his face, his eyebrows permanently furrowed in nothing but frustration. and the more the train welcomed passengers, the less patience he had.Ā
āshouldāve taken the car,ā he had sighed earlier when someoneās elbow dug into his side. more to himself than anyone, really, given how you didnāt hear a word he had said.
truth be told, you didnāt really mind the crowded space ā although the heat was unbearable.Ā
even so, you could handle it. if it meant being so close to him.Ā
as the subway stopped at yet another station, more people made their way inside, the ones behind him pushing onto him until his other hand slammed onto the wall behind you, startling you the slightest bit.
slowly, you tilted your chin up, eyes raking over the width of his torso, the broadness of his shoulder. catching onto the way his throat bobbed, the shock written in his eyes, equally as wide as yours. hot breath fanned over your face, the scent of his cologne dizzying. the hand beside your head dropped, brushing over your arm as it did so, goosebumps rising on your skin at the barely-there contact.
you didnāt say anything. didnāt crack a joke to ease the tension. simply stared up at him, utterly dumbfounded, scared that if you even dared to open your mouth, your feelings would tumble out of it before you could even think about stopping yourself.Ā
and they felt so, so heavy. so hefty. so much more burdensome than anytime they ever had in the past few years. worse than when you were still a naive high school student. youād always guarded yourself, kept emotional distance between the both of you, made sure that youād never dare to play with the line between what you were and what you wanted to be to him.Ā
and yet. the fact that it could have taken such a small incident for you to spill all your secrets to him was embarrassing, really.Ā
āsorry,ā he suddenly muttered, bringing your attention back to the situation at hand.Ā
the smile he offered you was tight. barely reached his eyes.Ā
you shook your head, lashes fluttering as you looked at anything but him. but he was not having it, for once allowing himself to act on impulse instead of thinking about it. his fingers found yours, his skin hot against yours, pulling gently on them until you finally looked up at him again, mouth dry.Ā
ādonāt look away,ā he murmured, loud enough so only you could hear, his tone almost pleading.Ā
you barely found time to spend with your boyfriend.Ā
your busy schedules barely ever align, often only having the time for a quick lunch together or even a small coffee break before finding yourselves late to your respective occupations. and while you could be understanding, you couldnāt help but feel lonelier and lonelier the more time passed. it wasnāt lost on him, noting how defeated youād look when heād excuse himself or when your manager would ask you to hurry back to your office.
and so, on his way back home a few days ago, when heād caught sight of a flyer promoting a summer festival, he was quick to cancel all of his plans that evening and urged you to do the same.
youād felt giddy the entire time you were getting ready, opening your apartment door to find him dressed in a black yukata, chuckling at the loose belt around his waist, prompting him to turn around so you could fasten it for him properly.Ā
āyou look beautiful,ā he had told you, pressing a tender kiss to your temple after taking in the breathtaking sight of you in your own floral attire.Ā
the festival was booming. kids ran around and away from their worried parents while couples strolled around, hand in hand. and so were you, fingers intertwined with your boyfriendās while you held a candied apple in the other, swinging both your and his arm happily as you chatted away.Ā
suddenly, your eyes caught sight of flames rising to the sky and, without thinking, you dragged your poor boyfriend to the food stalls. visibly, you werenāt the only one whoād been attracted by the fire, dozens of people standing before the, supposedly, seafood stand. the cook was seemingly much better at charring the squids and scallops, rather than actually cooking them.Ā
while he didnāt really care much for the spectacle, your boyfriend didnāt mind staying here for a few minutes if it meant seeing you beam this way, amazed by the display of poor cooking skills taking place in front of you.Ā
a movement on your right caught his eyes, noticing someone trying to slip between you and the person behind you. not thinking too much about it, his arm looped around your waist, bringing you the tiniest bit closer to him. the sudden contact made you jump, drawing a small smile on his face. but he didnāt say anything, simply pulling you into him a bit more.Ā
your shoulder brushed against his chest, his cheek resting on top of your head as he tried to find the same interest you did in the impromptu show.Ā
although he knew you were far too distracted to even care about it anymore.
you felt like itās been forever since the last time youād seen your beloved boyfriend. while he had promised to be quick about his family visit, you couldnāt help but feel like your chest was nothing but a gaping whole, missing his presence like no other, praying that your missing piece would just make its way back to you.Ā
āyouāre being overly dramatic,ā your friend had sighed over the phone at your shenanigans. āheās only been gone for two days and heās coming back tomorrow.āĀ
it didnāt matter to you. your plushies werenāt big enough to help you drift to sleep, the fleece blankets not warm enough to shield you from the oh-so freezing summer breeze at night. worst of all, you had to take the subway back home every evening instead of sitting in the comfortable passenger seat of his car and dozing off.Ā
and so, mourning his absence like a widow, you strolled around your shared apartment wearing the clothes he had left behind and drinking in his mugs, drowning yourself in his cologne and sleeping in his side of the bed in hopes that maybe, just maybe, you could feel a bit of the warmth heād left behind.Ā
your nap was disrupted by the sound of keys jingling at the door.Ā
it was a bit embarrassing, really, how quickly your ears caught onto the sound, regardless of you being half-asleep.Ā
without thinking twice, you rolled off the bed, landing on the floor with a small yelp. not letting the pain in your butt stop you, you rose to your feet, practically bouncing your way to the front door.Ā
at the sight of you running up to him, your boyfriend didnāt hesitate before letting his bags drop to the floor, catching onto the adorable yet sleepy smile painted on your face and the messiness of your hair and the shirt youād clearly stolen from his side of the closet.Ā
with a small huff of laughter, he opened his arms to you, letting you burrow yourself in his embrace. no words were spoken between the two of you, the silence interrupted by soft sighs and quiet giggles. lopping your arms around his torso, you buried your face into his neck, your need for his warmth and presence finally quenched.Ā
his hand rested on the small of your back, pressing you impossibly closer to him, face buried into your hair while his other hand rested on the back of your head. he swallowed harshly, suddenly realizing how much heād missed this, how much heād missed you.
sure, you did speak on the phone every day he had spent away. and sure, it wasnāt like the two of you were separating for that long. but God, did he never want to be apart from you ever again.
his arm tightened its hold around your midriff, squeezing you closer to him and you made a noise akin to a squeal, your laughter muffled into his skin as he mumbled something about stringing you along with him the next time heād have family matters to attend to.Ā
your hands caressed his back, nodding along to his nonsense.
youāve always been convinced that youād rather walk on a thin bridge of needles, barefooted, above a lava lake, rather than get pregnant.Ā
the absolute nightmare of spending nine months of utter suffering, throwing up and waddling around like a penguin was not on your to-do list.Ā
not now. not tomorrow. not ever.Ā
and to think that it only took your baby cousin visiting your messy apartment while your boyfriend was around to re-consider the promise youād made to yourself as a teenager was embarrassing, in a way.Ā
it wasnāt your fault, really. and it wasnāt like you had planned this. your aunt, who was weirdly close to your age, had dropped off her adorable daughter at your house, claiming that she needed someone to babysit the toddler as she had an impromptu meeting to attend to. and who were you to refuse, really, not minding whatever she was saying as you were way too busy holding the baby in your arms and cooing lovingly at her.Ā
sheād always been an angel, according to your aunt, and you couldnāt agree more. barely crying when her mother left, finishing her bottle with no issue. to top it off, it only took a few, gentle taps to her back to burp her.Ā
youād spent most of the morning on your own, absentmindedly patting her tummy while she napped beside you, feeding her when it was time and watching her try her hardest to solve the shape puzzles laid on the floor, her eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration.
your boyfriend had sent you a text you were too distracted to see and it was quite a surprise to find him ringing your apartment bell. and you could tell he was equally as confused, staring at the baby you were holding on your hip beaming at him.
safe to say it only took them ten minutes to become inseparable.
āsheās such an angel,ā he said, fondness coating his words as he encouraged her to crawl to him.Ā
and sheād clearly taken a liking to him. you didnāt mind the break, laying comfortably on your couch, watching the both of them communicate in babbles. well, you were mainly watching him, truth be told, discovering a side to him that youād never seen before.Ā
to say that you liked it would be an understatement.Ā
it was adorable, truly, watching him be so invested in the conversation between them, repeating the half-words she was squealing at him with such a tender look to his eyes and applauding her when sheād solve her little games, to which sheād respond by bouncing in place, overjoyed that she was being showered in praise.Ā
unfortunately, your aunt just had to interrupt the peaceful atmosphere in your flat and it took everything in you to not hide her baby away so you could keep her a bit longer with you. and it seemed like your cousin didnāt want to leave either, seeing how her lips wobbled and her eyes turned glassy, distressed by the fact that she couldnāt stay longer.
after bidding her a painfully long and emotional goodbye, you closed the door behind you, flopping back onto the couch while he sat on the floor in front of you, leaning his back onto the coffee table behind him, bringing his water bottle to his lips.
it took you a few seconds of staring before you spoke up again.
between your countless deadlines and the sudden family drama you were dragged into, you didnāt know where to look or where to start. and it wasnāt lost on your boyfriend. he noticed the way you were easily irritated lately, the frustration wrapping around your words, how jittery youād been, the permanent frown on your face.Ā
he hated to see you like this.
and while he did wish he could take the weight off of your shoulders, it wasnāt like he could just barge into your familial issues or do the work youād gotten a degree for.Ā
thus, he was limited to little actions he hoped would help ease your situation a bit. heād been on kitchen duty for the past month, cooking up your favorite meals every night and making your coffee exactly how you like it in the morning.Ā
the apartment you both shared had always been tidy yet it felt pristine every time youād walk in lately, finding no dust particles in the air and the wooden floor scrubbed perfectly. you could even see yourself through it.Ā
hell, heād make sure you never ran out of anything, checking you makeup and skincare drawers every week despite knowing such products donāt need refills for a good amount of time. yet youād still find lipglosses and serums you were sure werenāt there in the first place.Ā
despite his best efforts, there was no helping your situation. so he opted for the next best thing he could think of.Ā
arms crossed and leaning against the doorway, he watched you huff and puff about your irritating uncle, rambling about evil he was, always bringing his opinion where it wasnāt needed. cruelly enough, your boyfriend wasnāt paying mind to your words, simply observing you with a fond smile.Ā
as you came closer to him, his hand grabbed ahold of yours, pulling you closer to him despite your protests.
āi have to sleep,ā you whined to him, glaring up with exhaustion written all over your face.Ā
tenderly, his lips pressed against your forehead, caressing their way down the space between your eyebrows. his other hand slid up your arm, drawing shivers all over your skin, grazing the length of your neck before tilting your chin up, eyes meeting yours.Ā
āi know,ā was the only thing heād said before his lips pressed against yours.Ā
and with the way your shoulders immediately relaxed, how your arms looped around his neck and the soft sigh slipping past your mouth, he wondered why he didn't opt for this option from the very beginning of your torment.
heād assumed that, given your distressed state, you wouldnāt want anyone close enough that you could feel their presence. yet he found that he was wrong, seeing how you melted so easily into him, all the tension you had stored within you forming a pathetic puddle at your feet.Ā
his lips were soft, slightly chapped, yet so gentle as they moved against yours. he kissed you like he had all the time in the world, one arm wrapped around your waist while the other cradled your face like you were made of glass, thumb stroking against your cheek lovingly.Ā
he didnāt rush anything, humming as your fingers played with his hair, tilting your head back the slightest bit as he deepened the kiss.
despite his slow pace, you couldnāt help the overwhelming feeling that was taking over you. heat pooled at the pit of your stomach as his tongue slid against yours, a small noise tumbling out of your mouth when his teeth nipped playfully at your bottom lip.Ā
when he took a step forward, you took two back. until the back of your knees hit the bed behind you, forcing you to break away from him as you fell onto the mattress.Ā
with a small chuckle, your boyfriend sat beside you, his hand caressing your cheek as he stared at you with nothing but adoration and something akin to hunger.Ā
