what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

I'll probably make him take a chef job. He bought the segmented townhouse apartment thing in the town center. Maybe if we get a store/restaurant update, the ground floor could be a restaurant or bakery. Basement as the kitchen.

#no one wants to hear it. but a continuous thread of Siegfried's life is that he throws himself into dangerous jobs bc hes passively suicidal #the fact that he was presumably the only survivor of the udaak attack made this so much worse #bc to his mind he was just a drunk limping mediocre mercenary with no contact w his family or ex.#he keeps finding more causes to die for now that hes got power of a sort.#being a dnd pc as a form of passive self harm #its hard to convince him that all the bad things that happen to him arent justified on some level #yes adella and then the crownsguards did a number on him. yes he made it worse in his head to justify his cowardice #i dont think he realizes that this is a more extreme expression of the thing he did as a kid- handling the scary thing for his siblings #that scary thing having once been adella. then the harder crownsguard assignments. then whatever he could face as a mercenary #he survived the udaak attack BC he rushed the thing to give the party a chance to prepare or run #he got swatted into the trees and the beast's prey drive kicked in for the remaining party members #anyways.#c: siegfried
