Stop calling yourself pathetic. Stop calling yourself stupid. You moved because life required it. That isn’t a betrayal. That isn’t a failure. That’s reality. What concerns me is not that he’s hiking with other people. It’s that he seems completely uninterested in how his actions affect someone who clearly cares about him. A man who values a relationship doesn’t have to agree with your feelings, but he should at least care that you’re hurting.

You’re still fighting for the relationship. He’s telling you with his actions that he’s already somewhere else. Not because he’s on a hike. Not because there are younger women. Because he’s withdrawing, ignoring you, becoming cold, and leaving you to carry all the emotional weight alone.

Relationships cannot be dragged forward by one person. You keep saying, “I want him.” I understand that. But I want you to ask a harder question.
