"What allows us to let our guard down in a relationship is feeling emotionally safe. When the man pays attention to his partner's feelings and shows genuine concern for her happiness, she feels loved and cared for, begins to trust him more and believes that he is trying to do his best for her. The trust that she gives him allows him to feel accepted and appreciated. The more he feels accepted and appreciated, the more he will be attentive and caring for her needs.

By creating a safe space with each other you allow love to grow. The first step to creating a loving environment is practicing non-judgement and acceptance. If we struggle to accept ourselves then we will struggle to feel lovable and the harder it will be to accept our partner for who they are. This leads to unhappiness and feeling disappointed in our relationship.
