The lyric from “be my mistake” is actually referencing a story from the bible where a “sinful” woman came into Simons house and washed Jesus’ feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. The woman in the story was seen a prostitute in those times and the woman in the song is someone he cheated on his girlfriend with. He made the connection to the story based on his sexual interaction with the woman he cheated on his girlfriend with and nothing else. So while it may be “shit”, the lyrics are connected to something else.
