Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as âproblematicâ in class and our professor was like, âThatâs cool, but âproblematicâ doesnât really mean anything. It means that the thing youâre describing has a problem, and in and of itself thatâs not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else itâs not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like youâre trying to say that this is bad, but you donât want to say âbad.â Is that right?â
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the âbadâ thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, âIâm uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.â
Once we stopped calling things âproblematicâ and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, âthatâs racistâ or âthatâs misogynisticâ or âew capitalism grossâ out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, âUhhh... Iâm not sure whatâs so bad?â and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I canât help but think of this professor being like, âGood starting point, now letâs get specific.â I think when we have to commit to saying âthatâs ___â it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever weâre claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes itâs art, and it should be full of problems, because thatâs what art is.

Actually, my therapist has told me this is a healthy way of processing things. Because you can get the trauma out of your head And you can write the ending you wish it had. The trusted person rescue, the catharsis of getting to kill the one who hurt you.
It's good for your brain. It's healthier than bottling it up. Fiction is where we go for emotional release. That can be true with trauma too.

Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. I know I've been disappeared for a while but I'm here to talk about the recent TADC leak situation.
Fortunately I haven't seen any of the leaks of the movie tho I saw some people talking over the finale and honestly idk what to believe or not, but I'm not here to talk about leaks because I don't want any spoiler ( If you leave ANY spoiler in the comments I'm gonna block you, beware of spoilers people!!)
I've seen that many people are seeking refunds for their tickets due to the leaks, and in my opinion, it's the worst thing they could do. From Glitch's perspective, they did everything possible to prevent the movie from leaking, and I'm sure the situation must be devastating for both Glitch and Gooseworx. I know she's already spoken about the situation, acting as if she doesn't care, but I sincerely want to believe that inside she's hurting that the series finale has been leaked. If you're someone who hasn't seen the leaks and is thinking of watching the finale just because it's been leaked, please reconsider. It's not worth ruining the theatrical release just for the sake of morbid curiosity. I know it's difficult, but we've been waiting two months for this to be a special, even historic, release in the sense of indie animation. It's not that long now; if we could wait two months, we can wait two weeks and truly support the series with its theatrical release. This isn't just about the finale; it's about all those passionate and talented artists who worked on it. In this, they deserve to have their work seen on the big screen and not ruined by desperate people who only seek to spoil the experience for others. Forgive me if I rambled too much, but I honestly needed to vent about all this. Gooseworx doesn't deserve what they're doing to her, and I honestly hope for his own good that she leaves the fandom the moment her series ends.

Performative self-flagellation over being white is not a substitute for doing serious introspection about the ways you have been complicit in or rewarded by a white-supremacist society, nor doing the work to dismantle white supremacy.
A white person chiming in to a conversation about racism to say "I'm sorry for being white" or "white people suck, I say this as a white person" is just a masturbatory way to try to assuage your own feelings of shame without actually doing anything. It doesn't make you look like "one of the good ones." It makes you look like someone who centers your own feelings about it.

1. Fist: Make a fist around the epi-pen, donât place your thumb/fingers over either end
2. Flick the blue cap off
3. Fire. Press down into the outer thigh (the big muscle in there), hold for 10 seconds before removing (the orange cap will cover the needle). Bare skin is best but the epi-pen will go through clothing. Avoid pockets and seams.Â
- Ring an ambulance even if everything seems to be fine!

So as someone who has to carry an epipen EVERYWHERE I am so happy to see that thereâs an info post about them.
Like in the extreme case that I canât inject myself, somebody else would have to do it, but nobody knows how to do it! Thank you, this may just save my life some day.
Donât be wimpy about it, either. I know friends who are like, âbut idk if I could stab you with a needle!â Please stab me with the needle, donât be hesitant about it.
In my case (I canât speak for all allergies), an epi buys me 20 minutes of breathing to get to the hospital. It is not a magic bullet, itâs a few critical minutes to help get me where I need to go.
For those who donât know, people with serious food allergies carry epinephrine which is an adrenaline shot just in case they have anaphylaxis, which is a life threatening allergic attack. This shot is life-saving and must be administered to someone who is having an anaphylactic attack as SOON AS POSSIBLE, because an extra waited minute could mean their life.
It doesnât hurt much at all to use this needle. The first time I used mine, I didnât even feel it. But be sure to stab it IN THE OUTER THIGH. Do not stick it anywhere else or you could seriously hurt or kill someone. Just right to the outside of the thigh and then call the ambulance - even if your friend starts doing better, they could have a biphasic reaction, meaning a reaction that comes back (or they may need a second dose, be on the look out). If your friend has an epipen, then they have an epipen trainer that doesnât have a needle and you can try it out just to be sure you know how to use the real thing if you have to. Iâd also advise holding it a few more seconds then 10, maybe go for 14 just to be sure all the medicine is administered and that you didnât count too fast - thatâs what I did.
