life's not a movie, i'm not a movie star

That number may seem small to some people, but for my family, it feels like an impossible mountain. We are painfully close to getting the medicines my parents urgently need, yet we are running out of time.💔

I am exhausted from watching my parents suffer and from feeling powerless to help them. Every day that passes without their medication fills me with fear. I keep wondering how much longer they can hold on while we struggle to raise this final amount.😔

The cruelest feeling in the world is knowing that the people you love are suffering while the solution is so close, yet still out of reach. We only need $360. Just $360 separates my parents from the treatment they desperately need. We are not asking for a miracle. If just 15 people donate $25, we can reach our goal today. Fifteen people could change everything for my family.😔💔

Since yesterday, not a single donation has come ,I keep refreshing the fundraiser, hoping to see even a small donation appear. Hoping someone will care. Hoping someone will understand that behind this number are two human beings who are in pain and a family terrified of losing them.💔

Many, many people celebrated Pulse. We were told we deserved it. That it was God’s punishment for our sin of loving the same sex. We are sent messages like these I received in 2018:

We in the community often call the victim count 49+ to include the survivors who couldn’t live with the pain.

The event was never officially declared a hate crime or targeted homophobic attack and is rarely listed as one in databases.

At our vigils for those slaughtered, Extremist Christian groups showed up to protest, holding signs like this:

Please understand how much more than just a mass shooting this was. We are still to this day harassed and told we deserved it by some.

No help, No support, so No food no medicine for my parents 💔

Being hopeless and have nothing to do with this difficult situation makes me depressed especially I can’t get food for ten members 💔

I’m only 15 years old and I have to take care of my family, providing them with food, water, and basics just to stay alive another day😔💔
