How can you can be worse off than a homeless person if you have a home?
I ask to understand not insult. If I understand correctly, earning $300 in the west is worth less because everything is more expensive
i mean everything is more expensive in the west because you are orders of magnitude more rich. you dont get to claim to be victimized by this when western citizens strategically go to poorer countries to live there because they know their money goes farther, and the reverse just can't happen
also it's more of an exaggeration. at the end of the day a homeless person in the west still has access to things people outside the west will never have, if a homeless person in the west happens to get any kind of help and get back on their feet they will be living in a rich western country. if you're homeless in a non western country even in the best case scenario you are still dis-privileged by that. not to mention countries undergoing direct military and political pressure FROM western countries. NO MATTER your social standing, you benefit from that.
