in honor of phineas and ferb coming back can you imagine being a disney investor in the early 2000s watching some guys' storyboard pitch and you're like "oh this seems funny and cute but also relatively normal for a children's television show" and then this happens without warning
Imagine the travelers spending so long away from Timber Hearth that they get more used to the environments of the other planets.
Chert is so so so cold back home; Ember Twin is always sweltering, being so close to the sun, and they just can't seem to get warm on Timber Hearth. Refuses to go outside in winter.
Riebeck stepping carefully, expecting everything around them to be delicate, assuming the ground might open up beneath their feet at any moment, that they might fall with any wrong move.
Gabbro conditioned by Giant's Deep's 2x gravity, their movements ponderous and slow. They put too much force into everything, like when you pick up a cup expecting it to be heavy with water but there's barely an inch left and you splash it all over your face.
Feldspar sticks to the shadows, to enclosed spaces. Moves quietly, always scanning the room, always aware of their surroundings. Hypervigilant. Any sudden noise or movement has them on alert, laser focused on the source, staring it down with ravenous wide eyes, body tense. It might be predator, it might be prey. Either way, they must be ready to leap into action.
And then there's Esker. They've been alone on the moon for so long. It's so quiet there, sound can't really travel beyond their little bubble of atmosphere, carefully cultivated by their own weathered and bony hands. Maybe their lungs had gotten used to the moondust, and they find themself with worse allergies when they finally get to go home. Maybe they get overstimulated easily, in this place where the air is always in motion, where there's always sounds and water in the air, where explosions happen on the daily and it doesn't necessarily mean they have to fix something themself.
