     Hey, and if he can get some cuddling      out of this, that’d be a plus.

   it’s a conflicting expression, but a penchant for the empathetic tells her than jake doesn’t have any ill intent when he frowns, not seriously. still; he is frowning, and that’s cause for concern as is. it wouldn’t be the first time a civilian had lashed back at the avengers. she’s guarded.

   “i – ?”    do you have telepathy?    what, like it’s something you catch?    it’s not a fucking pokémon!    she’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. poor phrasing.    “… i’m telepathic, yes.”

              “telepathy. right.                                           don’t read my mind”.

          -- quickly, as if it’s the logical next step for this interaction.           they don’t really want an avenger to see what little there is           to see in front of whatever kind of block they’ve developed.           they’re on the index, sure, but that doesn’t mean they can           just --           (at home, bree sits straight in his desk chair and curses.            seriously, dude; way to call attention to yourself.)            jake would roll his eyes if he wasn’t paying full attention to the            situation at hand - but he is self-aware enough to know he            probably sounds threatening. not a great idea.                    “----i mean, if you do that kind of thing.” 

pietro undoubtedly would fight and deny all day, that he comes with an off-button. he prefers the term relax-switch; it simply makes it sound like it’s something he deserves. which he is convinced he does. and though he’d never admit it out loud, bryce indeed does work magic on his back right now.

even more so – and hush about that too – with that small, mocking almost-kiss that is pressed on his shoulder. he needs to take a moment, to make sure bryce can’t hear that tiny smile on his lips.

           ‘ what is? your inability to shut up for a second? ‘

          to his credit, he does at least make            it three steps towards the door.

so sorry for being on the last week - i’ll be back a little this weekend. uni’s been kicking my ass lately.
