And they all fawn over John and being helpful in other ways so Arthur can’t really tell John to get rid of them ALL the time but they keep interrupting at the wrong moment

I appreciate that we did not co-op blue glass into our spirit shenanigans, malevolent crew. Kept that practice outta our spooky outer gods made of squid shapes stories.

…though I am curious as to why all these folks are obsessed with “The Grape” after one episode? Are we still that hyped whenever Arthur gets a chance to interact with anyone other than John? Really? We can’t wait patiently for our friends Oscar and Noel to return to the stage we gotta be foaming at the mouth over Callahan and Lennie?!?

I mean Leonard is entertaining but I am waiting for the priest who has faced the horrors to look this little man in the eye and dare Leonard to say that crap about being “a true believer” again. What DO you believe Leonard? Huh?

Also John’s voice keeps evolving in how he expresses concern and fear so he sounds more and more uncertain and human rather than just our regal narrator. It’s just this tiny quaver but I noticed it!

…and dang Arthur is doing that detective trope where he says “I’m just getting a clearer picture” and leaves us all scrambling to figure out if we know what’s going on as well. I wanna know too! I bet this is how John feels on a case when Arthur figures something out faster than he does.

I like this new Hollow dimension we are building but it does make me wonder how Marie’s son sank through that to land in a WWI flavored super-hell in the Dark World….maybe that was Dark Frank like there was a Dark Arthur? Poor dude

I also really, REALLY like the idea of John (in his kingly era) studying humanity just because he wants to know how they work. If I was an immortal being capable of traveling between whole star systems I’d probably wanna poke at the other sentient beings I came across too. We humans don’t seem to rank very HIGH on that intelligence scale based on how most of the Lovecraftian entities treat us but it’s nice that we at least rank. Even Lilith implied there were impressive humans around…just that she didn’t think Arthur was one of them

I also love that none of us questioned why the taxidermy couple had a full grown man named Trevor leaving in their taxidermy studio/house with them. We’re not questioning the weird households that the 1930s economy created and for that I am proud.
