Like she doesn’t have the same moral compass as everyone else, clearly. And she doesn’t follow the same line of empathy as anyone else, either. But she’s still capable of holding deep love, regardless. It’s just in a way that’s very selfish and self-serving.

Because of this I like to think she’s perfectly fine with loving Nicole regardless if the feelings are reciprocated or not. They both care for each other—very much—but I think Alice is perfectly fine with Nicole not holding the same affection as she might have for her. It also just ?? very much adds onto the delicious factor of angels being incapable of faling in love unless they want to be permanently cursed and transformed into a seelie. Alice is perfectly content with their “friendship”, so long as Nicole is alright with receiving what Alice might give her. She’s very direct and straightforward about it, too. I don’t think she’d be the type to beat around the bush about it or try to conceal her intentions in any way. She definitely wants Nicole to know about it, and the latter definitely does. (In my head, they 100% indulge and participate in activities, but it’s mostly Alice who does all the worshipping and attuning to Nicole’s desires, and this to her, is alright. Not just because she gets to please Nicole, but also because it satisfies her just as much to be able to sate her friend’s needs. It’s all she’s after, really—for Nicole to allow her to love her.)

It’s also just very interesting to imagine that Alice, who is above everything else, might attach herself to someone like Nicole.
