Comics are kind of torture and take so much effort and people will read your half a years of hard work in 20 minutes if you can even get them to at all, but you should make them anyway because between all of that it’s fun and awesome

weird question: how did you get so good at art, especially digital? i've been drawing ever since i learned how to pick up crayons and haven't stopped since. i'm fairly confident in my greyscale pencil drawings but my digital stuff is just me sloppily tracing over my pencil drawings and bucket filling. i don't know how to do textures or make that beautiful digital stuff that i've seen on Tumblr and Reddit, and it's left me feeling unfonfident in my drawing skills. i turned 19 recently but people around my age who have been drawing for way shorter are better at digital than me
First of all, I’m so sorry for taking so long to answer. My mind got busy with other stuff ^^u.
To answer you question, to be honest, I’m not sure if I’m the best to give art tips. My art became what it is now just because I kept drawing consistently every year since my childhood (I never got proper art lessons). Which is not too useful for someone looking to improve.
This said, I do want to mention a few things that may help you.
1) Comparison is the thief of joy: I know it’s easier said than done (and I struggle with this on other hobbies I have), but be cautions when comparing your art to others, especially on social media (remember, people usually post the art that looks good, not the messy or unfinished ones). Rather I advise you to focus on self-improvement, focus on how your art is improving compared to yourself of a past time (it doesn’t matter if you are improving faster or slower, or even if it’s consistent). For comparison, I think I picked up digital art when I was 16 but I didn’t feel confident with it until I was 25.
2) Study and discipline: If you have (or want to have) the goal to improve your art, then you need to give it the proper time and dedication it needs. Look for resources, tutorials, tips and people (online of in real life) that can give you fundamental tips on how to improve your art, and work on it consistently. If you want you can check my #tips and tricks tag for art resources that I have found useful. You may feel like you are not improving at first, but believe that after enough time and practice, the new knowledge and skill gets integrated into your brain. Also, taking art breaks is 100% okay!
3) Most importantly, enjoy doing art: Point 1 and 2 become irrelevant of you don’t enjoy drawing. You could practice by drawing every day or take proper art lessons, but if that causes you stress or insecurity about your art, then it’s not useful.
That’s why I never felt the urge to improve my art skills (and why it took so long to be what it is now), because I was having fun drawing and trying new things. Enjoying doing art is what makes you do it for years, and eventually what makes you get better at it (if you want, you are also free to stay at a skill level you are comfortable with and keep drawing the way you like).
So yeah, sorry again for not having true technical tips for art improvement, but I hope that something of what I said helps you in any way.
So have a nice day and have fun drawing!

I also know Thailand and Sri Lanka have their versions of a lungi as well.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Has it been like a year and a half since I updated the comic? ...Yeah Is that a reason for not to draw them? No :)
Happy pride everyone, please take care of yourself and stay safe.
Ideally I'd make a post like "It is pride month! Yay! :D" ...But it is getting increasingly hard to exist as a trans person, let alone celebrate it.
We should still celebrate it. That celebration doesn't need to be loud. It doesn't need to be noticed by anyone except yourself.
They want us to feel shame at who we are. They want others to fear what we are. Pride in yourself is the antithesis of shame. So please, now more than ever, make sure you celebrate pride. Celebrate you.
You are worth celebrating. Happy pride.
