So I had my left blinker on to turn into a parking spot fairly close to my apartment, but I didn’t turn immediately because someone was approaching in the oncoming lane. It’s important that you know they didn’t make their previous right turn onto my street until after I’d seen the spot and was indicating (a little early) towards it, but they drove fast enough that they were near it at the same time as me. They turn right, directly into my spot (no blinker). I make a three point turn to flip around as I’d seen a farther spot before, but while I was near the other driver I called out my window “I had my blinker on!”

I park in the farther spot, get my stuff, and WHAT DO YOU KNOW!! We pass each other.

Of course I seize my opportunity to say passive aggressively, “Look at that, we could’ve BOTH parked closer to where we want to be!” No response. They had a lot more stuff to carry than me too, how unfortunate.

I locked my car 4 times to make it beep loudly over and over as they walked by it.

Trying to write sex scenes is so aggravating because honestly describing sex is pretty boring. It's mostly just people putting bits of themselves on or inside other people's bits so you run into a lot of "they walked to another room" type problems where you can get caught up in just describing where everyone's limbs and shit are. What really makes smut interesting and hot, in my opinion at least, is sensory description but that's also hard because you'll be sitting there trying to find a new way to say "they were feeling sexual pleasure and it felt pretty good". Then you also have to figure out how to write dialogue that doesn't sound completely ridiculous and hackneyed. Really makes you want to just write "they boned down real good and it was totally hot trust me, it was definitely the kind of thing you'd want to jerk your shit to," and have done with it.

#you guys need to do shrooms lol #describing anything sober becomes infinitely easier after trying to have a linear conversation with someone while tripping #you will find the words #to describe sex one must put themselves in the mindset of a being obsessed with artistic metaphors #literally describing the act an trying to find synonyms for body parts and feelings to keep shit from being repetitive #will always sound limited #I mean use the real words sometimes for grounding purposes #but yeah there’s a reason raunchy romance novels that don’t actually describe for play in detail or penetration at all #USED to be allll the rage. they were explicit while also making sex scenes more artsy and lavish with good ol yonic and phallic symbolism #‘the reason’ is flowery writing not shrooms btw. shrooms just help you get in that headspace after you’ve used them and stopped tripping imo #also sorry if there’s a lot of and to an spelling errors I have an iPhone and the predictive text and spell check are busted for us rn
