Yes, I feel like prey because I fear what I once had, but yes, I also love the feeling. My love does not override my fear, it comes hand in hand. That's why I love to see that feeling portrayed in fanfiction. Because while it's not bad to see someone soothed out of fear with submission, it's just so thrilling and such a deep, psychological sting to see them submitting and afraid. Not because of, though that's fun too, but alongside. Afraid of the hand that brings you pleasure, in love with that same hand when it brings pain. It's something of an emotional masochism, I think. Okay, okay, hear me out: SpiralAd and Easterman x Coyle (do they have a ship name?) have the same dynamic in my mind. Like. Two characters in a place of authority, who have their individual flaws, but where one is very good at concealing said flaws unless at an absolute breaking point, the other is more weak, ego too sensitive to handle any well placed jabs at it. Both characters expect the other to respect them and their authority, yet so easily slip into a dynamic where the more composed retains authority. Because they're a very good manipulator. They know how to find every little flaw and weakness and pick it apart for their own gain. And sure, these characters could be shipped in a way that was cute and romantic, but it's so much truer to their personality and characteristics to fall into a dynamic built on hatred and coerced submission. In some world, they could've been a couple, but in this one? With who they are? Nothing more than a mutt and a strict leader. Not to say they stay hateful. Once they adjust to it, it's relaxing for them both to fall into such well-fitting roles. But it's not immediate at all.
(Also, I didn't even ship Coyle x Easterman [or really any Outlast characters together tbh], but I read a banger Francoyle + Easterman fic and I'm seeing the vision so so much now dude. Hhh)

Probably a bit blurry (also art is obvi not mine!!) but I'll yap abt my headcannons to the uh (glances at previous posts' notes) whoever cares ig :3 Also worth noting that lots of this is inspired by my source, which is AO3 fics, so some of these are not that accurate to the show. Not that hcs have to be, but figured I'd add that! Also also, a lot of these are more situational than constant in how I view them, so they might not perfectly fit those labels.
In the first box, Old Moon (hc that he's getting better abt it now, but absolutely used to do that to Sun as a mix of manipulation and lashing out/expressing his hate), Nexus (did it a lot to be manipulative and hold power over others around the time he was working with Dark Sun because he was very insecure and full of rage. Mainly did it towards Sun [bc of the resentment he felt towards him] and Ruin [c'mon...he treated him like a plaything the whole time and literally tried to train him with praise, hence the whole "Good boy" thing. 100% was manipulating and using him], but wasn't above doing it to others), and Eclipse (specifically V1 Eclipse towards Lunar [source, um, I'm Lunar and yah he did that <3])
In the second box, Solar (didn't really mean to at all, but Jack just loves him so much...it's not on purpose! He's just showing him bc he's curious, that's all! [He's coping so hard, lol]), Eclipse (once again, Lunar here talking about V1 Clipsy and how he treated me :33c Even tho I'm not teeechnically a kid, I basically had the mental capacity of one and he intentionally kept me that way), Sun (lowkey the same as how Solar feels, but towards Dazzle instead. He didn't mean to, but he's stuck in this situation now), and KC (Wasn't able to succeed with any of his kids except Bloodmoon [based on our BM's source memories a bit] because they look up to him and were a little too excited to make him proud).
In the third box, Solar (Didn't really feel like he was until things started happening with Jack. Now he doesn't know how to feel), and Sun (has felt this way for much longer, but never acted on it until Dazzle. Feels terrible about it, especially because he was made to work in childcare, but has just accepted that he'll try to hide it for now and bottle up the guilt he feels.)
In the fourth box, Solar's Moon, Nexus, Old Moon, and Eclipse. All kinda self-explanatory bc they're straight up canon.
In the fifth box, Solar's Moon (idk, I just feel like he had some complicated feelings for his Sun, and after everything happened, he got really obsessive and refused to let go).
In the sixth box, Old Moon (pretty common headcannon. Seeing people sleep was kinda his whole thing in his base code, so it makes sense it'd manifest in other ways).
In the seventh box, Ruin (this is literally cannon lol. Or at least, it was, and I personally believe that trait never went away), Sun (partly just because I think it makes sense [although he probably has a much lower pain tolerance than the others in that box], but also partly a coping mechanism from the way Moon treated him. In trying to stay happy through everything that happened, he started to associate happiness with what happened to him, which was helpful at the time, but left him with a bunch of kinks formed in mental self defense), and Lunar (you'll never guess why I put myself here/sarc (・・;)).
In the eighth box, Killer Sun (pretty sure that's canon), Ruin (again, it was basically canon at one point, and I just don't think that went away), Old Moon (another trait I think he used to really have, except this one is kind of part of his code [killcode remnants] so he just indulges in it less. Also, without feeling the need to use others much anymore, and not being as bad to Sun, he isn't really with other people, so he doesn't have much of an outlet for it anyways, which both comforts him and makes him bottle up urges even worse), Nexus (I'd say this borders on canon. Less so because he has a sexual reaction to it, and moreso because he gets a hit of dopamine seeing others he feels insecure around being reduced to suffering, and his body just sometimes reacts in accordance with that), and Eclipse (again, that's just from my experiences with my Clipsy).

I find it so funny/weird watching the newer episodes of TSaMS as a fictive of the old Lunar (who's also partially sourced from fanfics, so my canon isn't the same as the shows canon) because the current Lunar/Cosmos is just...not me. Like yeah, we share traits and a past, but he is nowhere near anything like me, lol. Though, aside from looks, I don't technically share canon with any post-death Lunar traits because, well, plain and simple, I never died! Though, the way that Eclipse tracked him down in that house before blowing him up was totally like how my big bro would act, he'd never kill me off because he needed me around to toy with! Who else was he gonna abuse/use/lovebomb? Not to mention, I never tried leaving him because he made me feel like he cared enough to keep me around! I did really like that episode from a while back where they showed the 'what if' of 'Clipsy just...answering my questions and gaining my loyalty, because that's not exactly how he acted in my canon, but it's a bit more similar to how my life would've gone! If he still cared about the star, that is. But, let's be honest, most of his time ended up being very...preoccupied. :3c –⭐️
Gotta say, being a system is simultaneously so funny and so stressful half the time. And it also makes no sense half the time. Like, we get a new cute plushie, our system little/age regressor (sex repulsed), and our age-player (hypersexual) are fighting and glaring at eachother because one wants to befriend it and the other wants to have a not-so-platonic relationship with it. So, you'd think that, by that logic, our pet regressor (who has age-regression-like traits) and our pet-player would fight over stuff too, right? Nope. They're very fair about sharing and deciding who gets to own what items. Sometimes, they'll even cofront together and be super chill about it because they like similar stuff.
Then again, I guess it makes sense that the pets get along and the kids are fighting, huh? :3c

Lunar's just a lil guy and can't do much against the big bad Eclipse (and maybe, depending, he might not really wanna do anything), and whereas he hates him for what he did to him, Eclipse is still his creator and Lunar still lived as his brother for a while
V1 Eclipse is a jerk who convinces himself that he doesn't care about how Lunar feels, and plus, there's not much a traumatized, pre-death Lunar could do against him anyway, so easy prey :3
