i hate when gluten free flours are shelved with wheat flour. i get nervous when i have to walk down a baking aisle. we need to start mandatory training about cross contamination for everyone who has any part in the food supply chain. frankly i think we should be treating gluten that could become airborne as a biohazard when it's in a shared space (such as a grocery store).

i think gluten-containing flours should be quarantined from the rest of the store and in extremely sealed packages instead of barely sealed paper and i'm not kidding.

trying to find a way to phrase this in a way that doesn't make me sound like an ass but i think some of the things yall claim are trans culture are actually just things you and your friends like that you've decided are universal for some reason

i need everyone to know that this post was inspired by seeing a transmasc claim that making fun of bad ukulele covers is transandrophobia because it's transmasc culture

"Whether someone understands it or not, these are the consequences of the political views they're espousing" is a pretty important analysis tool for online movements because quite honestly, over half of everyone engaging in politics online have no foundations for the stuff they're saying and are just saying whatever makes them feel like a member of an in-group.

If your in-group is "the left" you're very much not immune to this. In fact, trying to do left-wing politics without even trying to build a foundational political understanding is a great way to end up as a neo-nazi with a tumblr accent rather than an effective left-wing advocate.

Directors somehow cut out the most important part of their characters, the reason why they have been subjected to such prejudice and why they are the way they are. Why THE BOOKS GO THE WAY THEY DO. Do you think Heathcliff would have been so outcasted and forbidden to be with Cathy if he was white? Do you think Carrie would have been relentlessly bullied and borderline tortured by her peers if she was skinny and pretty?
