Okay, Clace had a lot of issues (CC lazy writing, Jace's out of nowhere feeling for Clary, too much drama) but THIS ONE wasn't their problem. Valentine was an excellent manipulator, he abused Jace all his life and all of this "siblings" thing was just another manipulation to make Jace hate himself even more.

💁🏼‍♀️But even if we forget about all of this manipulation thing....

You seriously believe that you can meet a person, fall in love with them, start experiencing sexual attraction to each other, THEN find out they're your sibling and immediately be like

I am not a psychologist, but it seems to me that siblings relationship originate from childhood. (Or its many years of platonic relationship where initially no one perceived each other as an object of romantic interest idk.).

In Clace case, these two saw each other as a love interest RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. It wasn't even about "hey we can be friends", no it was exactly about "you're hot, let's make out in a toilet". (Yep that's disgusting, but u can't tell me I'm wrong👁️👄👁️).

It would take them many months to stop thinking about each other romantically. And years to start treating each other as something like a family. (you can say "BUT JACE COULD STOP INTERACTING WITH HER OR START AVOIDING HER AT ALL TO MAKE AT LESS WEIRD", well I AGREE🤷🏼‍♀️ but I didn't write these books. And the plot needs to keep going, they just HAD TO keep interacting ;-;)

1 Heightened senses/accuracy

He's always being described as observing in the background, so maybe when he's a vampire, he can see/hear/sense things farther than a normal vampire range. And all that aim and concentration requirement for being an archer make him very good at tracking and killing targets

2. Leadership/ Loyalty inspirer

It's established in canon lots of people rely on him and trust his decision, opening up to him the way they rarely do for anyone (jace, magnus, lily, etc..). heightened!power vampire Alec can simply make people want to follow his lead and trust his decisions at any cost. Or on a more powerful note, he can subtly influence them to want to give him what he wants

3. Shield

His desire to protect people may manifest in the form of being the guard, ie, creating a physical shield that blocks attack. I've also been thinking about how he'd jump into danger to save his loved ones, and whether his power may manifest using himself as the shield

Extra. Karmic power

Seb complains eloquently for a long time, saying, "I've been beaten, disliked, abandoned, not considered a human being, humiliated, and ignored." Jace agrees with him. Ash reminds him that Sebastian raised him in the same way and never loved him, to which Sebastian responds that it's all Valentin's fault. Valentine has exhausted all manipulative tactics and is as angry as a rabid dog.

Under his father's heavy gaze, Kit expresses his desire for attention and care, but is always met with cold indifference. he asks if he's a mistake in his father's life, if it would have been better if he hadn't been born, and Rook just chuckles. Everyone in the room is confused by the silence and the strange reaction. They're outraged. Luke runs over to calm everyone down and remind them why they're all here.
