Herondale Wayne Purgatory

The worst thing I did was read The Infernal Devices before any other TSC series because now ( and when I initially read tsc) I can't accept that Will Herondale is lost in time

idk if anyone else has had this thought, but here goes:

To add onto the Frankenstein one. Victor(Valentine) creating a monster (Sebastian) for his own ambition + his idea of making the world better + the creature coming out ‘wrong’ (Valentine saying that Sebastian had too much demon blood in him) + leading the creature to a world of loneliness (Sebastian being shunned by shadowhunter society) + The monster asking for a companion but being denied (Clary) + leading the monster to commit mass destruction (Sebastian starting the dark war)

I’ll also add onto this by Malcolm and Annabel being inspired by Catherine and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights and Valentine being a modern Prometheus-like figure (a term originating from Frankenstein, which was subtitled The Modern Prometheus). A visionary whose ambition is constantly overreaching ‘natural’ boundaries, bringing about devastating consequences (a tragic, self-inflicted downfall) because humans cannot play god!! The Morgensterns representing divine arrogance is such a powerful topic I feel nobody ever talks about, even tho it’s such a basic foundation of their existence as characters.

Kon is so adorable in the trailer but then I remember the teaser shot they gave before the trailer came out and im reminded that at some point this boy will probably be going through some form of Horrors(tm).
