The idea was that Robbie survives, but is unable to continue as mechaman due to an injury that left him partially paralyzed. This lead him to pass the role of mechaman to Robert. Robert operated as mechaman from age 16 to 31, which at that point he had Harper. Victor and him had been dating at the time, and Victor had distanced himself from villainy. for a while Robert abandoned his role to raise Harper, attempting to keep her separate from Robbie and the mechaman legacy, But as Harper got closer to the age of five the red ring became an increasing threat, and Robert returned to his role as mechaman to try and keep Harper safe. Durring a huge battle Robert gets put in a coma, while sonar gets caught and mind controlled by the red ring. durring the net ten years Robbie ends up raising Harper, and at 15 she begins her role as mechaman. She pretends to be male, using her bat-vocal-flexibility to lower her voice. She does not know sonar is her dad, and she is aware that Robert is her dad and is in a coma. A few months into Harper being mechaman sonar gets caught by a different hero and put in prison. Now free of the red ring’s control he is desperate to find his daughter and husband. Using some old connections sonar breaks out of prison and begins his search.
