generally speaking i want to see a lot of things in deltarune chapter 5. but recently i've been thinking i want the "perfect golden good boy who is the darling of his hometown" image of Asriel to be SHATTERED. like, i don't want him to be evil or even a complete asshole, i just want him to be a wreck. i want him to HATE being in hometown again. i want to see him suffer through the cold sweat and skin-crawling feeling of being in the town that has hurt him, all for the sake of accompanying his beloved family to the festival. i want to see him take his trauma and anger out on other people. most importantly, i want him to be HIDING THINGS. i want him to be knee-deep in the Shit that is the complex dreemurr-holiday conspiracy. i want to know his role in the whole thing, what he's been doing while off at college, WHY exactly he left other than just to pursue higher education. honey, i want comparisons to flowey.

i wonder if Erid ever had like. mass extinction events like Earth did. Do they have their own dinosaurs? ancient species they only know of throat remains? was there something before them for them to look back at?
