Someone is sticking papier-mâché starfish under leaves in the Amazon. If you want to meet the artist(s), you'll likely find them hanging out between the leaf base and the structure, peering over the edge to protect their masterpiece. Their design inspiration is not understood yet, but we do know where they source their materials. With the addition of locally sourced lichen (the white spots seen on the nests), the majority of the structure is made out of the fuzz found on cecropia trees. This gives the nest an almost felted wool like texture.
i think this is the first time i've rewatched the citadel arc and the last half of it is super weird when you know echo's just...alive...the whole time...
i wonder about the timeline, too. i firmly believe that not all of echo's "treatment" was medically necessary, so it's unclear exactly how bad his injuries were, but he was at ground 0 of a big explosion so probably pretty bad. had he been found and brought into the citadel before the rest of the gang even left lola sayu?
This June prompt theme was my attempt at combining a few aspects of what was most voted on in the poll. Since “Summer Solstice” won out, I tried to make it mostly fit to that, but also incorporated the “June in Tune” and “Honeymoon in June” since they tied for second.
SO here is my monster.
The following is a list of songs. I’ve created a Spotify playlist (link or scan the code) to hopefully make this easier for everyone. My intention was to create a Summery-feeling collection, but also have some lovey vibes mixed in. So there are love songs, summer songs, summer love songs, etc. So hopefully that covers all of our bases for those of you who aren’t experiencing Summer this time of year.
Pick lyrics you like if you want to base your work on that, use the song title, use your interpretation of the song, even just use the general vibe or feeling it gives you. Overall, it’s your work and these prompts are purely here to try to spur some creativity or get the writer’s block to go away.
I tried to pick various genres (although pop-ish music won out) and various time periods-ish. There are also some extra songs at the end of the month.
All that being said: making this was…a time 😂 I am open to any feedback should you want to chime in. If you liked it, I can definitely do something similar again. If it wasn’t accessible, let me know. All the things. If nothing else, I hope you at least found some new music you like or hadn’t heard before (I did).

i wonder if there's any pattern to clones in the very first waves of deployment (geonosis/immediately after geonosis) being more likely to pick already-existing names (rex, jesse, cody) and younger clones being more likely to pick words/make names up (fives, echo, dogma)

Autistic character month is a writing/art challenge starting on the first of April 2026. You can participate with writing and art about autistic characters (canonically autistic, or autistic to you; original characters are allowed as well). There are two prompts for each day. You can use just the first prompt, just the second prompt, or both, or replace one of them (or both) with a bonus prompt. You don't have to fill all the prompts / participate every day to participate in the challenge.
You can add your work to the collection on Ao3, tag your tumblr posts about/with your work as #autistic character month 2026, and tag me into your posts directly, and I will reblog them.

For each day, the first prompt is an "autism prompt", and the second prompt (given in bold) is a "general prompt" (sometimes this distinction may seem quite vague). All the "bonus ideas" listed below are more specific interpretations of the "autism prompt"; you may use any of them as a point of inspiration if you like, but you may obviously write about any other different interpretation of the "autism prompt" as well.
Special interest + Music (bonus ideas: infodumping; intense cycles of special interests; sharing a special interest)
Communication difficulties + Intrigue (bonus ideas: not being understood; social cues, eye contact, volume control)
