people are really like âi want to help raise trans womenâs voicesâ and âi want to listen to trans womenâ and âi care about trans women and find their experiences important to the LGBT communityâ but still donât know basic terminology about trans womenâs oppression, like for example âTMEâ
it means âtransmisogyny exemptâ i.e. it refers to people who donât experience transmisogyny. that would include all cis people, all people assigned female at birth, etc and really only leave trans women and otherwise transfeminine folks.
itâs really important terminology because it allows us to talk about how even trans men and many non-binary people can harbour incredibly transmisogynistic values without challenging it. it is KEY terminology to understanding the oppression trans women face but somehow i have loads of chucklefucks asking what it means every time i use it, which inevitably means i end up using it less and my point gets swept away.
âterf is a silencing tactic!!!â youâre damn right it is! shut the fuck up
@ all the femmes following me (especially my fellow white femmes) if you are not currently actively a) giving your money to bail funds and b) encouraging members of your community to also donate to these funds. Either come to terms with the fact that part of the history you are claiming by using the femme label is one of organizing our communities to get bail money when our siblings were locked up after police raids or stop calling yourselves femmes. You do NOT get to claim that history as your own if you are leaving our black siblings behind now.
As this is getting notes very quickly, I'm adding the link to the doc I'm compiling of donation pages to various bail funds, legal orgs, small businesses affected by the protests, memorial funds, and other various organizations to support the black community during this time
Please reblog this version
THINGS YOU CAN DO TO RAISE MONEY IF YOU ARE BROKE AS SHIT:
Share ways to donate with your community, so people around you who DO have money can donate. Reblog posts, text friends and family, dust off your Facebook, put donation links in bio. Reach out however you can.
Look to see if you have a bail fund in your town/city, contact them, see if they need funds and what you can do to help gather those funds (phonebanking, community outreach, etc)
Look at your skillset, see if there is anything you are able to do that you have the ability to provide for free if someone donates. Offer to make sponsored art, do astrology/tarot readings, tutor someone, share favorite recipes, WHATEVER! You very likely have at least one skill or know one thing that someone would pay money to access, let people know that if they donate you can provide!
this pride month, please please please do not let the black lives matter movement go ignored. the lgbtq movement owes so much to black members of our community. we are not free until all of us are.
what is happening now is change in action. if you care about activism, and you should, you know that blm deserves to be seen, their voices to be heard.
pride matters, and we should still celebrate, still fight, still demand our place in the world. but black and indigenous people need our support right now. cops are not our friends. oppression is never okay. privilege is never comfortable. if you are white or non-black, refuse to let support for blm die down.
this pride, letâs fight for each other. demand spaces for lgbtq people of colour. let their voices be heard. listen.
you can help.

Do you really like thick girls? Or are you just talking about big boobs and ass. Cause if youâre not expecting thick girls to have tummies and big arms, I think you got the game fucked up.

Harold... she's eating Totinos
how many levels of wlw meme comprehension does this require
literally only two but ok
You know what I love?
silent rebellions.
I mean donât get me wrong the loud ones are great too but there is something so poetic about the quiet ones.
Like when a kid hides a pride flag in their room or paints their stuff the colors because they know if its not rainbow their parents wonât know what it means.
or when someone hides a binder in their backpack to change into and out of at school, âplus school takes up most of the time I can bind anywayâ
The kids that are never deadnamed at school but in front of their family their classmates will never betray them.
The kids that have secret blogs
the kids that have secret lives
because you simply cant live in a world without some of you in it.
Kids that all flock to the one with supportive parents
the kids that sneak out to pride festivals with their friends
the kids that are secretly themselves
the kids that are secretly heroes
and those secret silent rebellions
are fantastic.
So please
Please
keep it up.
The world is so much better with you in it.
how can i sleep when theres IMAGES to look at.. weird sounds to listen to..... gay thoughts to think...!
i know gays joke about the intimacy of hand touching and eye contact and whatever all the time and i love those jokes dearly but i think weâre all obsessed with these small barely visible gestures of love & closeness because bigger gestures ultimately make us targets for homophobiaâŚlike we want stories where gays gently touch hands at the train station or gaze at each other longingly or hug just a little too long etc because they reflect our real life experiences & usually those are the only kinds of public transgressions gay people are able to safely engage in. and sometimes not even that. sometimes a glance is enough to make you a target. sometimes you walk into a room and youâre a target. you know what i mean. gay intimacy is relegated to these infinitesimal moments because it is not allowed to exist otherwise. anyways im in a mood

I love it when people try to claim representation in fiction is being taken âtoo farâ to the point where itâs no believable. Theyâre like:Â
âWhatâs next, a mixed-race immigrant on the autism spectrum?â Hi, my name is Rachel, also known as Rachna, and Iâm a mixed-race immigrant on the autism spectrum.Â
âWhatâs next, a transgender Latino man with chronic pain?â What, you mean my former colleague, Marco?Â
âWhatâs next, a Black Jewish lesbian?â Bitch, I know I three Black Jewish lesbians, WHATâS YOUR FUCKING POINT?
everyone rb this with your identity a white dudebro would call forced diversity in the tags
[ID: animated text saying âItâs not âforced diversityâ, people just existâ. /End.]
When i'm checking on my vibe in the morning:
