It makes me feel extremely guilty
Seeing pictures of injuries or hospitals etc are triggering for me (which are in most intro posts for this sort of thing)
They are always worded in a way that makes me feel like I am a murderer if I don't donate
It makes me feel uncomfortable
I said I don't want them, and my boundaries should be respected
I can't tell what is a bot and what isn't (although I know a large portion of them are NOT bots)
I get a lot of spam from this. It is disappointing to see 10 new asks in my inbox just to be the same ask for donations over and over
Please, just respect the fact that I have said this.

Celestia instantly makes more sense as a character when you ignore the princess stuff and remember that she's a 1000+ years old wizard. Of course she does manipulative trickster stuff to teach moral lessons and/or cause chaos to amuse herself, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course sometimes she's actually socially awkward and bad at personal relationships and has bad ideas that she thought were good that result in her eating shit embarrassing style, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course she lets the aristocrats and nobles run around being assholes she's still running on wizard advisor programming, she's basically trying to merlin the entire upper class of equestria instead of just a king and some knights. "Yeah uuhhh we'll release the incarnation of chaos himself from his ancient prison because we think this shy girl can be friends with him", terrible plan if you're thinking like a ruler, amazing plan if you're thinking like a wizard. in honour of pride month, i'd like to remind everyone that yes, it is important to gender nonbinary characters correctly. (well its important to gender everyone correctly in general, but this post is about fandom exorsexism)
i dont give a fuck if you think it's okay because 'theyre just pixels' and youre supposedly not hurting anyone's feelings. maybe the character cant be hurt by you misgendering them or saying their gender is 'up to interpretation', but real nonbinary people can see your words. and everytime they see someone put down their own rep, they get just a little more disheartened.
"but it's just fiction! just because i misgender nonbinary characters doesn't mean i don't support real nonbinary people!" yea, i dont believe that. if you truly supported nonbinary people, then you would support normalising transgender identities in media instead of implying that referring to nonbinary characters correctly is 'too difficult'.
and yes, gendering fictional nonbinary people correctly is just as important as doing the same for real ones. media, fictional or otherwise, does have a real impact on how the general public perceives minorities (you'd know that if you actually paid attention in history class). so what that means is that normalising nonbinary people in media would subsequently normalise nonbinary people's presence in real life society. which loops back to the original point of this post:
it is important to gender nonbinary characters correctly. it does, in fact, genuinely affect us. everytime you say a nonbinary character's gender is 'up to interpretation', you slowly influence one more misguided kid into becoming more exorsexist. everytime you call real allies theyre snowflakes for caring about this issue, you dishearten one more nonbinary person.
anyways, if youre going to ignore/disagree everything i've just said, then as a nonbinary person: if youre going to treat our representation this way, at least have the decency to admit youre transphobic instead of claiming to be our ally.

I prefer when fandoms were like the mid 2010's Dark Souls fandom, where I would get called a faggot for leveling dexterity.

For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.
I kind of miss the impulsivity that certain spaces used to allow. oh you want a hair cut today? hairdresser in the corner can fit you in before her 2 o’clock. tattoo of a cobra… sure leg or arm? even concerts, back when you could go to the box office thirty mins before any show. not saying these things don’t exist at all, but everything feels booked five months in advance and 10x more expensive
