I decided to make seperate ref sheets for her different forms so that the sheet wouldn't just be one ungodly huge canvas that my computer would hate me for ;P but I think her other 2 forms will be fine on one sheet, since MH werewolves are basically humans with fur+tails.

I saw a cute design on pinterest for lace-up boots for a furry character, so I copied that design for one of the options, and the other is based on button-up boots. I also decided to give her some cuff options for the front paws. And of course her signature hair beads are in her tail in this form as well!

Like, Clawdeen in my AU cursed herself so she basically gets the best of being a werewolf. Yeah, she has zoomies and bloodlust, but she also has superstrength in her half form and she can shift pretty much whenever she feels like it.

Lesbian Pride Moon! there are parts of this design where I also mixed in elements of the sapphic flag. this pride month design was super fun to work on! tbh I'm kind of in a transition phase with my digital art process, trying to work more iteration into the process. If you check my art blog, I actually posted the thumbnail for this piece, working just with color and shape to get her outfit down before I started sketching the pose. I used 3 layers of sketches for this one! the first layer was very basic, I just wanted to hash in the proportions and the motion/angles, the second sketch was more in line w what I normally do on a first sketch for a more stagnant pose, and the final included clothes and cleaner lines. I also did less colored lineart than usual, still deciding how I feel about that. I do rlly like the pose tho, I didn't do that much canvas flipping but I still think it looks nicely balanced!

I had so much fun with this one! I'm really glad this is the deign I picked for her bc it's legit so fun to draw! the pose is based on one I found on pinterest n i just thought it was so cute :3 I have 2 color options for the outer wood bc ofc it's not one of my drawings if there aren't at least 2 versions XD My favorite part besides drawing her face was doing the soft shading, I felt like the piece was really coming together and it was fun to watch it starting to look better after having to see the flat colors.

For all the options I wanted to work with the details visible in her portrait, since I did the portrait and design out of order. I knew I needed the red blouse, which I matched to her shoe color, and the black bralette/camisole, but I tried slightly different styles in each iteration, in addition to changing the bottom half of her outfit. I think I want to come up with a final design that combine my favorite elements, but for now uhhhh here they are!

So between this and Valentine, I'm learning that I like layering character outfits with a sheer puff-sleeved turtleneck XD In this AU, as I mentioned in Clawdeen's ref sheet, the werewolf curse will affect you differently based on the caster. In Moon's case, she is unable to control her transformations. She becomes a full wolf on the night of the full moon, is stuck in wolf form for a few days leading up to and following it, and is a human the rest of the time. In half-form, she sometimes experiences sensory overload. While Moon and Clawdeen both struggle with hunting instincts and blood cravings, Moon's tend to lessen after the full moon since she's able to hunt and consume much more as a wolf. Moon actually doesn't know who cursed her, or at least that's what she tells everyone. She was cursed as a child, before finding out about the monster community and Monster High. She lives at the school full-time right now, but she visits her human family on weekends as long as there's no chance of turning, since hunting laws are way different in the human world than they are on the Monster High grounds, and of course because of the risk of revealing the monster world to humans by transforming in a place someone could see her. Moon has of course been a werewolf much longer than her roommate, Clawdeen, so she was the one who introduced that newbie to the Monster High Werewolf Pack, a club dedicated to supporting eachother, talking through the realities of being literally cursed, and generally making sure Monster High is a welcoming place for werewolves.

This is actually my second try at this portrait, and I think I did a pretty good job given that this is the first time I'm trying to draw a masc-looking face in this style, which I've only been drawing in for a few months. I think drawing softer features has helped ease me into the style, but now that I feel more confident I should probably try Abbey or anyone else with more chiseled features sometime soon. Of course this design for Valentine is heavily inspired by our Draculaura design since they're siblings in this AU, but I really tried to not make Val just look like genderbent Draculaura (even though that's kind of what his G1 self looks like to me) for example his nostrils are similar to Drac, but I gave him a different nose bridge. The shadows and blush added to Val's skin are also different hues than Drac's, although the base skintone is the same. I also used different colors for his eyes and clothing, again leaning more into reds and warm pinks as opposed to the cooltone pinks of Draculaura. While Valentine's hair is similar in texture and color, his style is less structured and his dyed streaks are a lighter pink. Val also has beauty marks as well as thicker brows than his sister. I'm not yet sure what the exact meaning is behind his bottle necklace, though perhaps it has something to do with a certain witch boy he may have mentioned to his sisters.
