And god I've been just crushing under the weight I've been holding this entire time. I was crying and panicking last night just because it hurt so much. It's that feeling that I couldn't be a good friend, it's the feeling that you feel like you ruined everything. Something that not only manifested for me in TADC but also in real life.

The story is called Albatross Heart, and it takes place in a fantastical world, where mana is naturally made by the environment, and almost anyone can cast magic, but the laws limit who is allowed to and who is forbidden from it. Even though this world is magical and only recently industrialized, it is still plagued by problems similar to our own; colonialism, hyper-capitalism, technocracy, and fascism.
