I've got a funny Fallout 4 companions react ask. How would the companions react to the sole survivor who gathers all of them together to come up with a very crazy almost to the point of suicidal idea/battle plan. Nick Valentine immediately tells sole survivor that they are now grounded and they actually listen to him. Cause at this point Nick Valentine is basically sole survivor's dad.
Pffft. The bad thing is one of my soles really would do this.
(Sorry this is my first real try at this thing)
Also this is two parts! So part two will be up soon!
Fallout Companions React- Sole getting grounded by Nick P1
“Seriously, yer just gunna listen to yer ‘daddy’? Grow some balls!”
Yeah, she isn’t impressed. I mean, she wasn’t excited about the half suicidal part of Sole’s plan, but being kept from plain kicking ass? Super upset. Also isn’t exactly happy that Sole is listening to an old toaster about being grounded when they’re a goddamned adult. She ignores them for awhile after it.
“Okay, write this down. “Savior of Commonwealth Gets Grounded By Synth Detective Of Diamond City.” Ha!”
Oh she is sooo going to make an article about this if someone doesn’t stop her. It’s too good not to. Even though she loves Blue, she loves a good story even more. And everyone needs a laugh in these trying times, right? She does slip them some sugar bombs to try to cheer them up, atleast.
“Oh, thank goodness Monsieur Valentine was here!”
She’s just happy Sole didn’t get in a life threatening situation, She always gets worried when they get so carefree with their health. She hoped this break from action would keep them safe. She was going to hand Nick a couple extra stimpacks but then realized he couldn’t use them, so now she’s trying to figure out a proper thank you.
“Huh, didn’t think it’d actually work. Well, as long as they’re not causing trouble.”
He’s very surprised it actually worked, Sole’s kind of a loose cannon. But hey, he’s not complaining! He’ll take the peace and quiet that comes with them being grounded and starts to catch up on paperwork, or maybe start reading a new book.
“You’re really listening to that bucket of bolts? Really?”
Don’t get him wrong, he’s not upset he’s not getting thrown into a life threatening situation. He’s just annoyed they’re acting like a little kid! He’s incredulous that Sole’s just straight up listening to the old detective like he’s their dad when they’re a grown adult, and a little bit miffed. Won’t try to comfort them
He is so relieved that he didn’t have to go through the trials of convincing Sole that their plan was idiotic in a kindlier way. Even though he doesn’t approve of the habit, he’s finding and slipping some of Nick’s favourite brand of smokes onto his desk later. He justs hopes that the grounding doesn’t keep them from their General duties (haha get it? general, and General? I’m sorry I’ll leave)
“While I still don’t understand why are are listening to a failed prototype as a fatherly figure, I am pleased to see you will not go through with that foolish excuse of a plan, Ma’am/Sir/Xir/etc.”
He’s relieved he didn’t have to force Sole into a teleporter and lock them into an institute room again for trying to do that plan he warned them against. But he’s annoyed they’re listening to a failed synth, instead of him. He kinda got his ego hurt. Synths aren’t taught to have a lot of pride in themselves, but he definitely does think he’s better than the detective, and is annoyed (hurt) that his opinion was lesser to Sole. Even if Nick is their father figure and they had to get grounded to stop the plan.
