We literally saw Lestatβs whole family screaming like mad. He gets that from them. There is literally a scene with Lestatβs father that mirrors a scene with Claudia. He has his fatherβs temper. But he has always looked much more like his mother. Lestat is a male version of Gabrielleβjust as Claudia is a female version of Lestat. Books and show.
Every character has an explanation for their horrific actions. Even Armand. But does it only bother you in this instance? Is it because itβs Lestat? Because it shatters that idealizedβor rather, negatively idealizedβversion of him that never actually existed in the canon? That is the whole premise of the work. They are all abusers to varying degrees who were abused themselves first. Even Gabriella falls into that category. And for heaven's sake, are we just making things up now? Jacob loves this season. He even has a favorite episode. He remains passionate about the show. Watch his interviews instead of making things up to justify the fact that you can't stand *IWTV* not having Lestat as the big bad.
Is it so lame to talk about abuse? To take a genuine interest in it? Are you serious? And no, Louis isn't being demonized. Claudia isn't being demonized either. Weβre simply putting into words what the show has always shown, albeit less explicitly, because the story was being told from Louis's perspective. Louis is selfish. Thatβs nothing new. But we aren't saying heβs a liar. The show literally demonstrated that Louis struggles with his memoryβeven though there is indeed a part of him that prefers to pin all the blame on Lestat. And yes, Claudia is a liar and a manipulator. We saw her do it in the first two seasons. Why does that shock you? EVERY VAMPIRE IN THIS SHOW IS LIKE THAT!
The truth is, you can't stand the fact that Lestat isn't the white villain of the story. But since he isn't, you think that automatically demonizes the other characters. Except it doesn't. Go fuck yourselves. Honestly, those of you criticizing this season are just bitter that it's about Lestat and not the version you had demonized in your heads. Stop watching the show. You're a cancer to the community.

I don't think everyone's objection to censorship is that it's triggering, because I think a lot of people are growing up to realize they need to manage themselves. I think the bigger issue is actually that they believe it will PROMOTE that behaviour.
I would like people who believe this to consider: Did every child exposed to the concept of Disney Processes grow up to try and be royalty?
Did every person who saw The Hudson Hawk try to rob a bank?

Y'know, I've been thinking.. if there were ever "morally questionable" variants of the Outsiders, who would have the largest moral gap compared to their original counterpart?
Doc has always been some sort of mad scientist, now he's just an evil mad scientist. Maybe he uses other bots in his experiments and nobody says anything because "Oh it's just Doc! He's so nice! He even has a son named Seamus!"
I know I've accidentally made Zbalt into some sort of all-powerful being in my AU, but he's given basically nothing in canon, so there's not much to compare back to. You can do kinda just whatever with him and it'd be "in-character".
I'm too lazy to think of anything for Clem other than maybe she just whacks people with her lamp, but that's ridiculous. There is potential to explore how far she is willing to push her obsession with the Outside though.
ANYWAYS the main bot I'm interested in is Momo.

Momo loves his friends. He loves his friends a lot. So when Doc, Zbalt, and Clem announce they will go to Dead End and Sewers, Momo is like "Nope! Never! You will die and I will be sad! Also dying is painful."
Doc, Zbalt, and Clem insist that they must reach the Outside at any cost, and reassure Momo they will be fine. Momo is so paranoid that he will lose his friends he locks them all in his basement. Very very bad, but Momo wholeheartedly believes he's doing the right thing keeping his friends "safe". I don't know how he manages to keep them there, that's up to your imagination (hmm, lightning...)
The other bots in the Slums wonder where Doc, Zbalt, and Clem are. Momo says they left to Dead End and Sewers and died. Momo pretends to be very sad. Everyone believes Momo because everyone knows "Momo loves his friends so much! Also he is a coward! Also he is rainbow!""
Anyways, time passes and the Outside is open (somehow) so yay!! Momo will free Doc, Zbalt, and Clem now right? Right?? Well it'd be a lot funnier if I said "No!"
Momo goes and enjoys the Outside for himself, keeping the friends in the basement because he's deluded himself into believing he's keeping them safe. He still loves them and knows how much they want to see the Outside though, so maybe he has given them a little TV with all the pictures he's taken of his adventures in the Outside.
And no one suspects a thing because everyone knows Momo loves his friends, he is a coward, and also he is rainbow. :)
BY THE WAY this entire ramble was inspired by All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury. I hate that story so much I love it.

I honestly kind of really dislike the idea of robots built specifically for sex. Like. If I'm going to fuck a robot it will be a robot that was not DESIGNED to be fucked. Their head moves around a little when you walk around them, so obviously theyβre still alive-ish? Theyβre just pasted to the wall by the weird fleshy stuff near one of the rolling doors (after you flip the two switches and jump on the barrels to get away)
They kind of remind me of the infected in the lower floor of the Seattle Hospital in The Last of Us, who are pasted to the wall by mycelium and doomed to a perpetual existence of blowing spores out of their mouths
