“You must be one of those Eternals I’ve been hearing so much about.” Medusa smiled, singing along with her words as she raised her brows at the woman.”

“My name’s Cindy.” Cindy waved and spoke before pausing and realizing her mask was up, shaking her head softly to herself. She hesitated for a moment before pulling it down and repeating herself. “Sorry, I’m Cindy. It’s nice to meet you.”

Daisy. You’re one of the Eternals, right? She tried her best to sign, although it was a little rusty. She knew plenty of languages from her time in S.H.I.E.L.D. and ASL happened to be one of them. It wasn’t perfect, though.

“I wish my signing was better.” Clint said, halfway trying to sign his words while also speaking them as he offered a slight smile. “I’m sorta new to all of this.” He pointed to his hearing aid.

You must be one of the Eternals. Heather put out a psychic message, tilting her head slightly as she smiled at the woman. I’ve heard much about you all. It’s nice to meet you, my name is Moondragon.

And who is this Sersi you speak of? Loki signed back, her head tilting out of intrigue as she looked at the woman and raised a brow.

“You know, most people around here wouldn’t agree with that. They’ll lecture you, threaten to send you to the Raft, yada yada..” Felicia rolled her eyes as she started to carve a hole in the glass with her gloved claws.

Clint smiled at the Eternal and raised his eyebrows, hesitating for a moment before shaking his head. We’ll need to go somewhere a little more remote. He signed in response, hoping he didn’t mess any of the words up. He was still learning.

Daisy watched the Eternal sign to her and did her best to read her lips, connecting the dots as she smiled softly at the request. “Again?” She paused for a second before holding her hand out and quaking the ground in front of them, pausing to focus on pulling out segments of the concrete. It was something new she was working on, so it was still a little shaky as she did her best to hold them up. 

Cindy frowned at the signing, really wishing she was able to understand it a little better. ASL was something she had originally planned on taking when she got to college and she’d taken a few classes during high school but obviously that didn’t work out. “You’re one of the Eternals, right? I remember you from the meeting.”

Sprite and Kingo had barely made it back to the airport before suddenly Kingo was encapsulated in gold and sucked up into the sky, presumably to face Arishem after what the Eternals had done in cancelling the Emergence. Sprite knew there would likely be consequences, but she didn’t realize they’d come that quickly. It was overwhelming, and terrifying that she was left behind, alone on Earth in the aftermath. Thankfully she managed to get herself back to London to reconnect with Dane, who was also distraught and confused. 

She hadn’t been alone anymore, but concerned was an understatement for how she felt about where her fellow Eternals could possibly be. Had Arishem killed them for what they’d done? Were they alright? There was no way to know, but Sprite knew one thing. She needed to get in contact with Makkari, Druig, and Thena up in the Domo. Working together was the only way they’d be able to find the rest. 

By the time she reconnected with Makkari, Sprite tried her best to process the signing and nodded along, signing her own response back as she said it out loud. “Yes. He was in a cab with me on the way to the airport when it happened. There was a bunch of gold and suddenly he was gone.” She frowned, shaking her head as she pondered Makkari’s theory. It didn’t make sense that they were all taken, mainly Makkari, Thena, and Druig. Sprite figured that if she was human Arishem didn’t have much of a bone to pick with her anymore. I’m okay. Are you guys all okay? Have you guys come up with any ideas on how? 

makkari zipped around the room, picking up objects at random and looking at them. she tossed aside a shoe before returning to sprite’s side. they had returned to ajak’s ranch as it seemed like the safest place to be. it felt like a part of her was still there; golden energy keeping the place a warm shelter. as sprite recounted what had happened to kingo, makkari nodded solemnly.

that’s what dane said about sersi. golden light. gone. just like that. makkari was glad that karun had gotten sprite back to safety. it had to have been traumatic to see one of their own abducted out of nowhere, especially after everything that had happened.

“hi, i’m bucky. i have one arm –– is that too forward?”

“alright, alright slow down. care to explain again?” “i didn’t say anything, eddie.” “i know that, now shut up. no, not you –”

“Careful. I don’t remember if I put my explosive-tip arrows in that bag or not. Or was the acid tipped arrows.. Shit, I dunno.”

“––i’m really quite knackered at the moment, so if you could get on with it. that’d be brilliant.”

Felicia stood and waited for her chips to dispense from the machine, but when they got stuck she let out a groan and hit the glass. “The one time I try to pay for something.” She grumbled to herself.
