and for the record i enjoy daft punk. much like i enjoy skrillex, despite the fact he also butchered and badly recontextualized a black genre space of music. but whenever i see people being wildly critical and angry towards certain kinds of art, i immediately start to think about why that may be. even if you think the answer is obvious, "it's just noise", "it's just pretentious", "it's just just lines", "it's just shapes", so much of the time there's a demographic being targeted. then it's 'fine' and 'acceptable' when the people who criticized it make that stuff.

Anyway it's hilarious that tone indicators are Like That, you younglings aren't paying for text per character, and auto complete isn't always an utter moron, this attempt to clarify meaning is adding another layer of confusion vs if you just typed out /positive or /half joking. There's no place for this next iteration of leetspeak outside of, like, MMORPG chats where such shorthand is necessary due to having to quickly coordinate between actions.
