The movie was alot of fun! Very pretty, the pacing felt fast but not in a bad way. The first movie had more breathing room while this one was GO!GO!GO!

The movie references and jokes were absolutely crazy, the one towards the end with the snow made me laugh wayyy to hard.

Loved the Beaver! She stole the show for me and Gary was super cute!!

As soon as it lands on streaming, im going to rewatch and pause for all the little details!

Husband teared up a little so he gave it a 9/10

Hard to compare with the first one but it stands okay on its own.

There is a post credit scene and I'm hyped! Hopefully Zootopia 3 is just as good or better!

I’ve seen the Ursula K LeGuin quote about capitalism going around, but to really appreciate it you have to know the context.

The year is 2014. She has been given a lifetime achievement award from the National Book Awards. Neil Gaiman puts it on her neck in front of a crowd of booksellers who bankrolled the event, and it’s time to make a standard “thank you for this award, insert story here, something about diversity, blah blah blah” speech. She starts off doing just that, thanking her friends and fellow authors. All is well.

Then this old lady from Oregon looks her audience of executives dead in the eye, and says “Developing written material to suit sales strategies in order to maximize corporate profit and advertising revenue is not the same thing as responsible book publishing or authorship.”

She rails against the reduction of her art to a commodity produced only for profit. She denounces publishers who overcharge libraries for their products and censor writers in favor of something “more profitable”. She specifically denounces Amazon and its business practices, knowing full well that her audience is filled with Amazon employees. And to cap it off, she warns them: “We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art. Very often in our art, the art of words.”

Ursula K LeGuin got up in front of an audience of some of the most powerful people in publishing, was expected to give a trite and politically safe argument about literature, and instead told them directly “Your empire will fall. And I will help it along.”

It’s the best chocolate I’ve ever had and it’s 100% slave free. Tony’s Chocolonely works really hard to push for transparency within the chocolate industry and actually has and is following an action plan to eliminate slavery within cocoa production. They’re good people who make good chocolate.

Please validate me. I just had an argument with people in YouTube comments (the beginning of my mistake) about how Garp let Ace die in Marineford. Thoughts?

Undoubtedly he let Ace die. Even if you say it was Ace's fault, or someone else killed Ace, he still stood beside him on that execution platform and moved to do nothing. He stood in Luffy's way and 'willingly' got punched down, but he still fought on the other side of that war. Dadan punching him and asking how he could let that happen is proof enough of Garp's involvement in Ace's death.

Just because he didn't pull the trigger, it doesn't mean he's free of accountability. I love Garp as a character, but eventually people need to stop saying it was everyone else's fault BUT Garp's. He's not a stupid man, and he certainly isn't a weak one. We've seen the extents he'll go to when he ACTUALLY wants to save someone, and Ace wasn't given that treatment because Garp decided licking the boot is more important than saving a kid he promised to keep safe from BIRTH.

I think Garp has a deeper reason for working for the world government. But honestly, the reason doesn't matter because he absolutely let Ace die. Whatever the reason it wasn't worth Ace's life. I think he regrets it to an extent but its too late.

I think Oda changed his mind about the romance in his manga and put more obvious love interests for the main characters.

He said that his manga is for boys so there would be no romance, which is true, romance is not the main thing in One Piece, but these last arcs have made me think that he is preparing an ending, at least for the monster trio, like the end of Naruto where everyone had partners and children lmao

I mean Hiyori and Zoro even if it's one-sided

Sanji and Pudding which is mutual and one of the most obvious to become canon

Luffy and Boa, although it is one-sided now, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in the end lol

I will eat my shoe if Oda ever ends the series like Naruto, and I will also be extremely disappointed because just settling down, getting married and having kids goes against so much of what One Piece is about in terms of love, blood connection and family. I think it's a bit insane everyone thinks Oda's just gonna end his story like the standard shonen, when he's literally made Gear 5 as rebellion against the current day shonen tropes.

He's sick of it lmao. He's actively made his characters REJECT romance time and time again, even Sanji rejected Pudding to be with his crew. I truly cannot see Oda WANTING to wrap up his series with a "everyone gets married and has kids and lives happily ever after <33" when 'happiness' and 'good endings' in One Piece has ALWAYS meant SO much more than just getting a romantic partner and creating a nuclear family LMAO

I think Oda has softened to the idea of romance but not for the Strawhats, and i would be disappointed to, i think, if everyone got married and settled down Naruto style.

Found family is the name of the game in the world of one piece.

If Oda DID PLAN TO DO that, tho , he would have to write the best goddam romance ever in the history of manga for me to accept it.

I cannot imagine for the life of me a reality where Luffy canonically has romantic feelings for someone let alone sexual feelings.

Like shipping in fandom is fun and all but in cannon hell no.

Realistically, Sanji and Usopp are the only ones i see possibly settling down after the credits roll.

I feel very inspired by zines ive seen here. Yet i struggle during the day to get anything done.

My circadian rythem is all messed up

PTSD makes it hard so i escape on YouTube and video games but i can't get stuff done.

I used audio books but its hard to stop doom scrolling.

I would like to get better at writing but i have no one to look at them

I feel lonely
