People on tumblr are so out of touch with reality. Byeeee.
do you ever read someone’s opinion about something and just go “okay for the sake of our friendship I’ll just ignore that”

this was definitely my fav scene from tfios
Shaming people for their kinks? Is this what tumblr is into nowadays?
No sympathy for rapists, no sympathy for abusers, no sympathy for those who side with them. No excuses for their behavior, no justifications, no exceptions.
Cisphobia isnt going to cancel out transphobia.
Heterophobia isn’t going to cancel out homophobia.
Saying that all men are the same only aggravates sexism towards women.
Any type of shamming will not cancel out other types of shamming.
Fighting fire with fire will not work.

It's not that the kid in the ally shirt is a bad person; it's the fact that he went to an event that is designed to make queer people comfortable and give them a sense of community in a shirt that put focus on HIS straightness and not the people he's protecting/defending. Basically he pulled a massive 'no homo' in a place that is meant to emphasis other sexualities genders, etc.
I’m sorry, but I disagree with y’all on this one. Someone declaring their sexuality is not and should not be threatening in -any- environment. Least of all in an environment of people who have been ridiculed and oppressed because of theirs. His shirt is literally no different than a “straight but not narrow” t-shirt. This is the polar opposite of “no homo.” This kid goes to a Pride festival to show his support and literally says that he is against hate and discrimination, and y’all criticize him because he is declaring his sexuality. This is quite literally heterophobia in all of its glory. He is an ally, and he is helping the cause. Back the fuck off of this poor kid.Safe zones like this are supposed to exist as a place for everyone to congregate and not be judged by their sexuality, not for GSRM people to be exclusive and bully straight people for showing up and showing pride in who they are just like everyone else.
this kid went to fucking PRIDE wearing this
and all i could think about was this picture—
…..I think were missing the point of the last two lines. I’m not even straight and I think this kid is cool. He made a lil rhyme about not being discriminatory even though you follow the norm.
