I keep forgetting that I have this account

This is a long story, but hear me out. I (34M) and one of my closest friends and allies (43F) returned to our base one day to find that there was a trap set below us. I almost fell for it myself but was able to get out of the way in time. The two who had tried to kill me, let’s call them M and G, tried to make a deal with me. You see, it wasn’t really me they were after, but another one of my closest allies, S. I heard them out of course, might as well entertain the idea of getting some profit, but I was never actually going to follow through with it. In fact, I wanted to warn S. However, my other ally that I stumbled upon the trap with, let’s call them C, overheard the conversation and thought I was going through with it. C confronted me with it and threatened me with banishment from the group. These guys were my closest friends and allies and I don’t know what I would do if I were kicked out. I immediately went to find S to warn them, but it was too late. He had fallen for the trap. M and G assumed I had followed through with the agreement and rewarded me, but my allies also followed through with it and banished me. I ended up not doing anything other than get some goodies for my team, but I admit I was still tempted. AITA?
