please someone stop me before i give my whole paycheck to my favorite indie dyer. he deserves it and the sale is good but 1. i am too broke for that and 2. i wouldn't be able to use the yarn with any reasonable speed. but how am i supposed to pick just 2-3 skeins??? hello?

so i have this really scratchy wool that i hate and that won't be good for making wearables and so like.. what do i do with it? should i just use it to practice new techniques or something?? its pretty but god i cannot stand the scratch, no other wool i've owned has been even half as awful.

a slightly messy bit of darning + embroidery on one of my t-shirts that started sprouting holes. there's still more to be done, but this is what i have so far!

FINALLY completed sock #1 for my dad and the measurements are STILL off. it's ok i will redeem myself eventually, there will be more socks in his future.

i really like how the colors pooled on the heel and toe 🥰 i'd love to use this same yarn to make a pair in my size but there is gonna be some serious yarn chicken involved in finishing the second sock

sock recipe is, as always, silver's sock class, and the yarn is by knitivity!! have i mentioned lately how much i love knitivity yarns?? i definitely gotta order from him again soon!

The socks have all ends woven in! Absolutely had to add my favourite pottery embellishments to the toe with duplicate stitch and whilst they may take a little bit of wriggling to get on, the adjustments I made worked well enough that they are comfortable on my feetsies. Now to wait for the cooler weather because I am not putting socks on my feet in this heatwave🥵

sock repairs!

this sock had an unfortunate encounter with my ladder. got caught in the miniscule gap where two parts are screwed together. pulled one of the rows tight, so i had to loosen it back up and kinda made the hole bigger in the process </3

but after that it was just a simple darning job to get it fixed up. i also reinforced the heel at the same time, since it was starting to wear through a little bit!

i need to check its buddy for thin spots and damage but I Dont Feel Like It so im Not Going To. surely i will not regret this.

lighter yarn is by knitivity, darker is a wool-cashmere blend (i think) (i lost the label </3). recipe is silvers sock class, colorwork chart is self-drafted
