hi sock knitters. this is my first sock . is there any way to fix this gap ? or to prevent it at least? i casted this on onto DPNs and that was where two of them met :’) ive since switched them to circs (bc they’re more comfortable for me to use and carry around and i’m just more confident with them).
another question — is there any way to ease pain in like. the muscle where my thumb meets my palm while knitting with smaller needles? or do i just need to build up strength there? these are 3mms for reference !!
(pattern, yarn is malabrigo rios in whole grain and yerba! not optimal sock knitting yarns, but what i had on hand and could adapt to the pattern)
How to graft a sock body to a cuff - maybe this is my solution for toe-up knitting always giving me tight cuffs?

impulse cast-on. the endless ribbing on dad sock #2 was driving me crazy and this pair will take up (most of) the rest of these two colors!

Today, we went to Dinocon! Had a great time, bought a cool t-shirt and some patches, listened to some fascinating talks about the cutting edge of paleontology and paleo-art. Unfortunately, it was in Birmingham, which meant a two-hour drive each way. Fortunately, that left me plenty of time for knitting! I finished the leg repeats and got about a third of the way into the heel flap.
Part of me wishes I'd got more done in the time, but to be fair I did have a little nap on the way home 😴 - we'd been up since 6! And it is nice to be onto the next stage of this sock pattern, which is new to me so I'm having to trust the process a little bit...
