This comment genuinely made me so sad. I suddenly remembered that no matter how much people act like they love and want more lesbian and wlw representation in shows or media in general, they still can only accept it in limited doses.

Like oh right, of course, Jinx just cannot be gay because Vi and Caitlyn are already gay! But Ekko and Jinx can be together even though Mel and Jayce are already together, because thats just different. They're straight so it will always be different.

It sucks, because I think the reason I can't seem to really get behind timebomb is the toxicity of their fanbase. It just reminds me of how blatanly homophobic people can be when they don't get what they want. They're happy to say that they think Jinx is bi, but they refuse to even consider the idea of her with another woman, and the exact same thing goes for Ekko. Its just all so performative.

Maybe its a stupid thing to get upset over, but it just really makes me upset to see that people still think gay women can only be represented one relationship at a time, like any more would be too much for one show when virtually every other piece of media is crawling with straight people relationships.

I was trying to think of a way this random idea of mine could work with the romance aspect but we need to be completely honest with ourselves: there is no universe where Ekko would ever make the wish Bear did. Bear is stupid and selfish where Ekko is fundamentally neither of those things. It simply does not work in any situation i've thought up, and trying to use another romantic interest like Lux only makes it harder. Even if you believe that Ekko wants Powder back that badly, I really cannot believe he would be able to take away her autonomy like that, especially after having to grow up and see her change in a way Vi never got to.

On the other hand, though, because of her prolonged distance from Powder during her time in stillwater and her desperation to have her sister back the way she was before, I can see Vi nbeing a little bit selfish. If given the chance I do think she would be able to convince herself that becoming 'Powder' again would be best for both Jinx and herself. Even knowing that the wish is real, I think I can see her making that choice.

This idea mostly arose after thinking about that one scene near the end of the movie where Nicki repeatedly tells Bear that she can be anything he wants her to be, and specifically when she attempts to reassure him that she can be Nicki if that is what he wants. Imagining that scene but between Vi and Jinx where Jinx really tries to fight against herself to just convince her sister that she can be Powder again if she wants her to be totally reminded me of the entirety of the tea party scene from the end of season one.

I just thought it was a cool idea, and my brain loves to mish mash all the different things i'm interested in into one big monster media. It's awesome. If I get really fixated maybe I'll write a oneshot about it. We'll see.

Am I crazy or out of the loop or something? Doesn't he just seem like nothing more than an older mentor to her? I physically cannot imagine them in a relationship it is so strange to me when I try. Like that is her second, more morally grey older brother, not her boyfriend.

Plus, as someone who has played the game over 6 times now, I have always seen her as more girly than typically masculine. I feel like people just take her slightly unhinged attitude as masculine when I honestly read it more as hyper feminine. It really isn’t that big of a deal, but I get irrationally upset when she’s written OOC because shes genuinely one of my favorite characters of all time.

God they kill me.
