Still not over the fact that I won a seat lottery for Hamilton and that the seats ended up being front row in the orchestra. It was magical and I am so glad that I got to see it, 17 year old me was squealing inside (I was a very big fan of Lin’s original performance at the White House). Luckily it’s one of those things that actually lives up to the hype and even exceeds it. There is so much hope and truth wrapped up in those majestic lyrics and performances. Hope for the future, for what we can be, for possibilities, for telling immigrant stories, etc. Simply empowering and divine to watch (or sob over, if you are like me and just cried during the last half of the show).
