 I love the drawing part, but god the painting is always a killer. As you can see I always put in flats first and render over them. This helps me keep in the lines as I’m a very wonky painter with a graphics tablet. I cant do straight lines to save my life. One day i’ll afford a screen tablet and no more wonky lines.

The X-Men by Tyler Cairns in a dazzling set of pieces inspired by X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992-1997 as part of the Fox Kids Saturday morning cartoon block.  I am definitely excited about the Disney Plus announcement of X-Men ‘97 as sequel to the classic series!

My piece for @giantsizezine! I got to draw Gambit, who is one of my all time fave X-men, so I had a LOT of fun! (It helps that he is the king of sparkly, glowing fuchsia- LOL.) I grew up watching the early 90s animated X-men series, so that was the iteration I tried to draw most heavily from.
