Imagine this grandpa dies you’re in a foreign country where you know no one and no one mourns with you and also you have work tomorrow but your grandpa is dead and you had to hear your dad sob on the phone but you can’t really tell anyone bc you moved abroad literally three (3) weeks, which coincidentally is also how long it took for the cancer to go from diagnosed to deadly. Also you’ve been trying to go abroad for five (5) years and you finally get it right when 1) you’re a little bit illegalbgt 2) grandpa dies 3) you realize that you’re leaving a life that you loved and that everyday you do mourn a little bit the day you could’ve had if you’d stayed. You could be at the park or you could cry on your couch while holding your lover or you could spend all day talking to your friend and then release all the air from your body without the fear that scratches at the itches constantly bc again you’re a little bit illegal.
