Obviously the most reasonable answer is he'd kill himself, but i like to propose a second idea: what if wifies decides to live for parrot's memory? as some sort of twisted way to atone, hes going to explicitly mark himself as parrot's mausoleum, build a giant monument just for one person, brands himself as the last remaining proof his friend ever existed, and eventually subsumes his own interests and desires for what he thought parrot would be into, keeping his fixation and obsession alive and even worse with self-loathing? and it scares the fuck out of everyone obviously.
